Watermelon exploded on my kid, but it’s fancy

Got this Tree Hut Watermelon Sugar Scrub for my 11 year old daughter because she’s officially reached the “mini self-care queen” phase of life. Within minutes of opening it, our entire bathroom smelled like a watermelon exploded… but in the most luxurious, spa-like way possible. She used it once and came out of the shower glowing like she just walked out of a skincare commercial. I think she now believes she’s a celebrity. She even gave me a skincare consultation afterward, apparently I’ve been exfoliating “wrong my whole life.” She’s obsessed. I’m slightly jealous. The scrub itself is like fluffy watermelon sorbet that makes your skin feel like butter. I caught her trying to get her brother to smell her arm like it was a scratch-and-sniff sticker. Honestly, 10/10. If you’re looking for something that turns your kid’s bath time into a red-carpet event, this is it. I might steal it when she’s not looking.

Effective Exfoliant, but the Scent Misses the Mark

I recently tried the Tree Hut Strawberry Shea Sugar Scrub and found it to be a decent exfoliator. The sugar granules effectively slough off dead skin, leaving my skin feeling smooth and refreshed. The shea butter and blend of natural oils provide a nice moisturizing effect post-scrub. However, I was disappointed with the scent. I expected a fresh, fruity strawberry aroma, but instead, it had a chemical-like smell that was quite off-putting. It didn’t resemble strawberries at all and lingered longer than I would have liked. This aspect detracted from the overall experience, making it less enjoyable to use. While the scrub performs well in terms of exfoliation and hydration, the scent is a significant drawback for me. I wouldn’t repurchase this particular variant due to the fragrance issue. If you’re sensitive to scents or looking for a genuine strawberry aroma, you might want to consider other options.
