blind owner and Very happy with my purchase so far.

I am a blind user and bought this because my blind friend said that it was a great purchase. I also read the reviews before buying it and they didn’t sound very positive but I thought I’d give it a try anyway. So far I have use the air fryer function, the convection oven and the microwave. For those of you reading this who are blind it’s the size of a large microwave. They also have a Braille overlay for the buttons on the oven. It basically looks just like a microwave with The heat element for the convection oven feature on top. If you have an Amazon basic microwave the design is basically the same except for the heating element and the fact that it’s a lot bigger. It was easy to set up I plugged it in and my Alexa automatically recognized it and addEd it to my devices. A few things that I would highly recommend doing before using The smart oven. Number one read the manual which is accessible in the email they will send you. You also need to read the voice preset guide. This will make life a lot easier. You also need to know the precise weight and amount of food you’re telling Alexa to cook for you. For instants I made some crab cheese wontons in the air fryer. I told it to Air fry 400° for 15 minutes even though the wontons said 10 minutes because the oven instructions will even tell you to add a few minutes more for the air fryer feature. They came out hot and crispy. A word of caution make sure there is nothing plastic on top of the oven. Make sure that there are no wires behind it because it will get really hot when baking something. When it’s air fryer mode It doesn’t get hot on top or sides so that’s the only time you don’t have to worry about anything. Just he’d my warning about baking and keeping anything plastic or paper near it because when baking my pot pie this evening I noticed that even the wall behind the unit will get pretty hot. I also love that it gives you choices of things to air fry or bake. You can say Air fry six chicken strips and it will ask you at what temperature and for how long. If it’s one of the options like spring rolls it will do it for a predetermined time. Same thing with oven when baking a pizza. I don’t have much to say about the scan to cook feature because so far the only brands you can do that with our 365 which is an Amazon brand and select Marie calendars. I tried scanning my pot pie and it couldn’t find the barcode. I also like that if you want to know How long until the oven is done cooking you can ask Alexa when will the food be done or you can open the Alexa app on your phone and go where it says devices and tap on smart of it and it will tell you how much time you have left. When you’re baking in your oven is preheating it will beat one time and when the oven is done cooking it will beep several times like the microwave does when it’s done heating something up. when I cooked eggrolls in the convection oven and told me halfway through to flip them over and that was handy. Especially since I forgot to do it. :-) When I ordered my Braille overlay it came a day after the oven. Which was OK considering I ordered both at the same time. Everything is easy to clean and it’s in the microwave but taller rack is for air frying and baking which you can do on the included tray and the shorer rack is for roasting and warming. Feature I just discovered if you aren’t near your Alexa device but you have your phone in hand you can use the Amazon Alexa app to control your smart oven. I just told it to bake at 425° for 20 minutes and it gave me the notification on my phone and started the oven.

Wasted money. Updated 1/18/2020
By Ryan on Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2019
So far I've faced daily loss of WiFi. The device will show it's connected until you try to use it then the WiFi symbol starts blinking and I have to turn the WiFi off and back on again. For reference I use Cisco PoE switches and dedicated enterprise access points so I feel fairly confident that it's not my network. It doesn't cook evenly, which in a 1.5 cubic foot space is impressively bad. As others have stated preheat times are ridiculous. It feels underpowered for the reported power levels. I attempted to factory reset the unit and was met with the error message "Failed." I've been in touch with Amazon support and they plan to send me a new one...in a month. I can't believe they seriously have no stock for warranties or the product is so bad that they've burned through their buffer and safety supply. Either way I'm not impressed. Short version: Jack of all trades, adequate at none. Save your money and buy a good convection toaster oven and a cheap microwave. I'll revise my review after I've received the replacement. Update ***1/18/2020*** The replacement unit still falls short of being useful. It disappoints in New and amazing ways each time I try to use it. I'd remove the 1 star rating if I could in favor of no stars. The oven is grotesquely underpowered. It took well over 15 minutes to preheat to 425F. Something my toaster oven which is close to the same volume can accomplish in 5. The microwave still feels underpowered and always requires the high end of suggested cook times, often plus a little extra. The air fryer is completely useless and fails to come anywhere close to suggested cook times. The echo integration is a joke. Alexa doesn't understand even the most basic of commands assuming the unit hasn't lost connection with the WiFi again. It's a complete waste of time to even try voice commands because I know I'll end up having to turn the WiFi off on the oven and back on for it to reconnect. I have to press fewer buttons to just select what I want. Of course every other echo device I own including the dot it came with in the same room never lose their connection. The final straw that lead to this update was a complete failure to cook a frozen pizza. 13 minutes at "425F" resulted in a largely still frozen pizza that I had to end up finishing in my toaster oven. There is no chance I would recommend this product to anyone. I can't believe I paid $250 for this. Never again will I preorder an Amazon product. I consider myself burned unlike anything I've put in this hunk of junk.
