Great purchase

The Pro XE is an excellent rangefinder and getting one used, although cheaper, I was taking a chance, but I chose this vendor based on high reviews he had received. Turns out the rangefinder was missing the eye cup, I was able to get one from Bushnell. I reached out to the vendor and he immediately reimbursed me for the eye cup and apologized for missing that. I highly recommend the vendor for great service, his very positive reviews are warranted.

Sadly not worth the money

Researched many rangefinders before finally deciding to just buy the top of line Pro XE. Used it for a few rounds and the features for which you spend the extra money just did not work With the ease one would expect for such an expensive unit. First what did work. The slope function worked, distances were accurate in comparison to 3 other range finder models my playing partners had. Once you clicked on a target, it was very quick to give you a number. Now to the issues: One of my playing partners has a precision Pro NX7, the other has a Bushnell Pro X2. 3 rounds played at different times of the day, under different playing conditions and the adjusted slope distance all 3 gave was within 1 yard of each other. To spend all that extra money to get your slope adjusted to account for “elements” only to have a variance of 1 yard with a range finder that does not account for “elements” is a bit of a waste. Also, it has 6X zoom but best of luck trying to adjust the viewfinder...especially with one hand. The dial is for some inexplicable reason tough to maneuver. The Pro X2, I could adjust the viewfinder with my thumb, no issues at all operating it with one hand on the course. Also even though it touts 6X magnification vs the 5X of the Pro X2, the Pro X2 has a clearer better view than the Pro XE. The pin seeker with visual jolt...i would say worked about 30% of the time and when it did you almost have to wave it across the flag to get it to work. The Pro X2, worked like a charm all the time. Also the Pro X2 had the option of a red or black display, a good feature to allow the user to pick which they want based on the ambient conditions of the day. Why they then took away that feature in the newer model beats me. Eventually returned the unit and was lucky enough to get the Pro X2. Found it at Costco for $299.00. Save yourself some money and a headache, this is one upgrade that is totally not worth it. Get you a Pro X2 and call it a day.
