A product designed and built to exceed Apple's specifications and innovation.

The main allure for this product is the ability of wireless charging an Apple Watch but it is not the end of its upsides.I own many wireless chargers, i got them all over the house and and both our vehicles, since i discovered the convenience of not having to plug and remove a connector every time i want to take a look at my phone became addictive, and my phone charging port hasn't been used in months.Ampere did with the Unravel AW+ here what Apple didn't dare to do: Build a daring modular product that would charge up to two devices and an Apple Watch at the same time at Fast Wireless 10W Speed. The device is unique. I haven't seen a transformable wireless charger before that goes from a flat triple charger to a magnetic 2 side stand triangle to a stack of surfaces where you have no additional room for the three panels to deploy.Pros:-Unique, modular Fast Charging Panels. Charges iPhones, Apple Watches and ANY Qi enabled Smartphone and Devices (on 2 of the Panels only, the Apple Watch panel is dedicated to the watch only)-Wireless Charge for Apple Watch. Magnetic Panel holds it even sideways.-Attractive design, i liked the Glow in the Dark version i got, white under lights, greenish on the dark gives it a unique look.-Comes with powerful 30W power block, and long, durable USB-C PD power cord.Cons:-At the moment of this review, this is $99. At the same time, we need to take in consideration that there is no other device like this. It comes with its 30W power brick, it is modular, and wirelessly charges an Apple Watch. You are getting a product that in my opinion, exceeds Apple's specs and innovation and probably for way less than what they would have sold it for. It is not a Con at its core, it is just it's one downside. The Bottomline is: A whole solution for iPhone and Apple lovers, modern, modular, efficient and cool-looking. Comes with power brick and cord. Able to charge Apple Watch wirelessly and any Qi Enabled Device (only on 2 panels, won't charge say, a Samsung phone on the Apple Watch Panel). Yes, it is $99, but it's the price you pay to stand out and feel you purchased something that will be a topic of conversation and feels like it will last years.

Great concept, very poor execution
By H. Zupnick on Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2021
I really wanted to like this charger – it takes up less room, both on a night stand and folded up in a bag while traveling and appears to be cleverly designed – however, after receiving two replacement models, both as faulty as the original, I think it has really poor quality control at best, if not a fundamentally flawed design. The charger works best to worst, in order, on the AirPods Pro, iPhone and then the Apple Watch. The AirPods Pro it always charged without issue. Unfortunately, this is the device I need to charge the least frequently. Overnight, my iPhone would often charge fully if I was charging it alone or just with the Apple Watch, but sometimes it would only charge to 80%-90% percent. If I charged it with another iPhone, neither of them would recharge well during the night, sometimes charging less than halfway despite being on the charger for 8+ hours. The Apple Watch was the worst. Even after being on the charger all night it would never charge to 100%. Though it would sometimes charge to 99%, it would come off of the charger burning hot and drop charge much more quickly throughout the day.I kept notes on the Apple Watch charging for Ampere support that speak to the heart of the problem:Apple Watch with official charger:-charges 55-60% in one hour-fully in ~2 hours-charged 4:45pm Mon, discharged 9:00pm Tues, 28hrs total charge (no workout) (in theater mode from 9:30pm-6am)-charged 7:25am Thurs, discharged 9:30pm Thurs, 14hrs total charge (no workout - 29% charge at 9:30pm)-charged 5:45am Fri, discharged 9:45pm Fri, 16hrs total charge (workout) (no substantial theater mode)Ampere charger:-charges 40-45% in one hours-charges 65% in ~2 hours-charges fully in ? hours-charged 6am Mon, discharged discharged 3pm Monday, 9 hours total charge (workout)-charged 6am Wed, discharged 9:15pm Wednesday, 15:15 hours total charge (workout) (BUT in theater mode from 1pm onwards)The Ampere Unravel charges the Apple Watch much more slowly than its official charger and after charging on it discharges much more quickly, necessitating theater mode in the early afternoon. This is using the Ampere Unravel with both the adapter it comes with and significantly more powerful ones, in case wattage was the issue. It's also charging three different Apple Watches, in case the Apple Watch was the issue. Ampere replaced my Unravel twice and the issue persisted. Afterwards they stopped responding to my support requests. I have a friend who uses an Unravel and he also had to have his replaced for similar issues. I can't tell if he got very lucky that his second charger works fine or I just got very unlucky with having three lemons in a row, but after weeks of testing and, support no longer responding, I have to say I can't trust the product.Beyond these major quality control issues, design issues include the product sample photos on the original funding page showed the iPhone charging in portrait mode, which is not possible and the inability to charge the iPhone and Apple Watch when the Unravel is folded as a triangle, meaning you can't use the device in its smallest footprint in the way I imagine most users would use it nightly. These would be annoying major design oversights, but probably tolerable, if the devices actually charged correctly with the Ampere, but since they don't they are just further issues in a device that looks great conceptually, but does not at all deliver.
