Got the first on in July 2020. Installed in my Scion Xb powering Alpine Type R 65 components in front and matching coax in back. Got a matching 8?9701 the 1200w mono powering a sundown SA10 in a customer fiberglass box I made. I had that all installed in that car almost 3 years then gave it to my kid. She's had it for almost 2 years now and its all still working like the day I put it all in. I think the issue most people are having with this amp is they do not know how to set a gain correctly and they are killing amps. Gain is not a volume knob. Mount it well, get a scope, set it right the first time then never touch it ever again and your $150 cheapo little power house amp will last you years as well.

That's how they get-ya

About 5 days outside of the return window, the amplifier went into "protect" mode and it won't reset. As expected, Amazon tech help knew nothing, been on hold with Pioneer support approaching an hour now without speaking with a human. Fear the warranty process. I suspect I'll be shipping it to them and hoping to get it fixed and returned by 2023 if I'm lucky. It's the Pandemic's fault. It's always the Pandemic's fault. I'd like to give up on the amp and go in another direction, but I'm into it for almost $200. Can't afford to trash it. So I sit and wait... And have no music in the car for God knows how long...
