Compared to Apple battery case, this is a gem
By OldBrit on Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2020
I returned two Apple battery cases because they never worked reliably. I went back to Mophie. Here are my comments: 1. The Apple case is at least $50 more expensive. 2. The Apple case promises a 40-50 percent charge. Based on the complaints here, I’m expecting to get about the same 40-50% - which is all I was expecting. 3. This case is wireless to wireless, so it will lose some capacity, but it’s open at the bottom. The Apple case blocked the microphone, so you had to hold the phone at exactly the right angle for people to hear you, This case is completely open at the bottom, so there’s no blocking the microphone. 4. Swiping up from the bottom of the screen, which is a very important gesture on an iPhone XS Max works perfectly on the Mophie, but not as well on the Apple case. 5. It does get warm when charging, but not nearly as warm as the Apple battery case. 6. It is no more bulky than the Apple case. In fact, I think they’re almost identical in this regard. It’s a battery case, so it’s going to be hefty. 7. The buttons work just fine. In fact, they’re easier to push than on the Apple case and have a nice tactile click. 8. It is smoother than I might prefer. In this regard, the Apple case is slightly better. 9. Apple support is clueless about their battery case. They're not trained on it and know nothing about how it works, or the proper battery setting on the phone for best use. I assume that Mophie has the same excellent support I received on previous cases. 10. I initially thought that charging the phone first, then the case and discharging the case first, then the phone, which the Apple case does, would be a good idea, but all it’s doing is continuously charging the phone until the battery case is drained. The Mophie drains the phone and then uses the case to recharge the phone - and you get to control when this happens. I’d say that overall, most of the negative reviews I read were way off base. I’m happy I retuned the Apple case and bought the Mophie Access. Update May 6th. This case is great. Does what it supposed to do. It’s advertised to give 30-35% battery boost, but I’m getting about 40%. That’s easily enough to get me through my day. Another advantage over the Apple case: The wireless charging is great, but if you want a really fast charge, you can plug a cable into the phone and another into the case and charge both at the same time - without removing the phone from the case. With the Apple case, you have to remove the phone from the case to charge both simultaneously. Oh, I had the opportunity to contact Mophie tech support, unlike the horrible Apple support, I received excellent support from Mophie/Zagg.

Defective, do not waste your money!
By Marty on Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2020
Can’t add a photo as I have returned the item. Do not waste your money. This case does not work. It fully charges in about an hour and it’s supposed to take 6-8 hours I believe. Then when you go to charge your phone it charges for under an hour and it’s dead. These must be defective hence the small price. I purchased a Casely Power 2.0 and I’m very satisfied with it.
