Since Sept 2023 and still going strong - excellent for after dinner
By ClaireWithLove on Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2025
I bought this elliptical to provide rehabilitation for my broken foot. It offers a dial to adjust the resistance level to make it harder which was perfect for me. I keep it in the family room to exercise while I watch TV after dinner. One night, I was in a hurry and I stubbed my toe on the metal stand and broke my toe. Well, the elliptical got more use again. It is quiet and I am able to pedal while we are watching TV. Initially, there would be a rubbing noise around 45 minutes, but fortunately, it has gone away. I use it on a hard wood floor, and the elliptical does slide forward, so you need to buy a mat or use something to keep it from moving. I used my hand weights to keep it from moving and just bought myself a non-skid mat for elliptical machines. I am looking forward to that, since I have to be careful not to trip over the hand weights I have piled along the front bar of the machine. If you are diabetic, pre-diabetic, realized you have insulin resistance like me, or want to lose a little weight, or tone your legs a bit, this elliptical is very helpful. I wear a Dexcom G7 continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and after dinner, I am am able to use the elliptical to bring down my glucose levels while we are watching TV. If you are eating any carbs especially rice, pasta, bread, tortillas, I highly recommend getting this to help you burn off the glucose before you have a problem. I do have the resistance level set to the highest level, but it still is pretty easy to pedal, so I can't say it is a hard work out, but it provides movement enough to decrease glucose levels. If you are older or less used to exercise or doing rehabilitation like me, the adjustable resistance level really is helpful. It is going on two years of use now pretty much every week and since October 2024, most every night. The only thing to keep in mind besides needing a mat or weights to keep it from moving (I use 25 lbs of weight to keep it from sliding) is the machine comes fully assembled which is absolutely great but it it is bit heavy to lift out to box and carry it to where you need it it be. We had thought about giving to my 82 year old mother-in-law but she would not be able to move it to and from in front of her easy chair on the carpet. I am using it every night, so I am glad I didn't give it away. This is a solid, well built, quiet elliptical, and it is very worth the investment.

Cannot be used just anywhere
By Connie P on Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2020
I spend a fair amount of time at my desktop computer. I saw a commercial for a seated elliptical exercising machine and thought it looked like a good idea. It turned out the price was quite high ($250), so I looked for similar products that cost less. I came across this Sunny Health & Fitness Under Desk Elliptical and thought I would give it a try based on ratings and cost. I see the price varies, as it was $114 the day I bought it. This elliptical does what it is supposed to do, as it lets you pedal your feet as you sit. The tension can be adjusted anywhere between easy to difficult to pedal. Sounds good, right? However, the problem I found is that this elliptical cannot be used just anywhere; it takes more space than you would think. My computer desk has 2 obstacles that prevent easy use of this machine. First, it has a pull-out keyboard tray attached to the underside of the desk. My knees hit it when using this elliptical. Also, there is a shelf on the inner lower back portion of the desk, so the elliptical can only be pushed in so far or its pedals hit the shelf. At the dining room table, my knees hit the table edge when pedaling. I found the elliptical works best when seated on a chair without a desk or table while watching television, reading or such. However, your legs need to be able to reach the elliptical while your back is firmly pressed against the chair. That can be a problem if your legs are too short. Something else worth mentioning is that this unit is fairly heavy, weighing about 24 pounds. It is not easy to move from place to place, including moving it aside when done using it if need be. Bottom line, this elliptical will work for those seated in a proper sized chair with ample space around the elliptical, especially above. Had I realized how challenging it would be to use this elliptical at my desk, I would not have ordered it. I am making it work (although a bit awkwardly) by using a folding chair instead of my usual desk chair.
