All in One!

This digital multifunctional scale is and does exactly what the name says and more. The measurements are accurate as I tested with products labeled with the weights. To begin a push on the ZERO button clears displays all zeros. You can measure in OZ, Lb, g, or g/m or m. The UNITS button allows the options by each push to the next selection(s). I like that the readout is brightly lit and the characters are large and easy to see clearly. The light times out but just push any buttons and lights up again. The timer is simple and you only need to push the reset button to start a new count. Another feature is the easy rinse rubber mat. And BONUS- the clear, plastic tray is designed with a spout to drain or pour out your product easily after measuring! When you’re not using the tray it’s fits nicely under the entire unit. (See my photos). This was a very good purchase now that I have the rest of the Gator products for heating and pressing. I am sold on this by the way, due to living in San Antonio and during a week-long power outage I was able to boil my water and enjoy the rich taste of my favorite espresso Café Crema from Puerto Rico! I highly recommend all the Gator Products. Great products for great prices!

Fairly accurate but extremely slow response

TL;DR Good features and price. Weight consistency CAN be an issue, but usually isn't too bad depending on your need. Response time is pretty bad and is a bad fit for pour over or other time-sensitive weighing. For the money this is a decent scale, but this is definitely a case of "you get what you paid for." Positives: The display is easy to read and the device is easy to use. I was able to get up and going without even referencing the instructions. The price is also pretty decent considering the number of features. Being able to measure in multiple unit types has been very helpful. Maybe a problem: The accuracy of the scale is not as bad as some people claim. When removing and placing my items I got fairly consistent results. That being said, the scale is very sensitive to the positioning of your item. As long as I was placing the item in the exact same spot and position I wouldn't see more than about .3 units of variation, and most of the time it was less than that. The problem is with items that have an awkward center mass as these can measure fairly unevenly. Works just fine for a basic dosing cup or basket, but far from ideal for something like the portafilter of an espresso machine or measuring out whole beans in the included tray. The negative: The response time is pretty bad. It can sometimes take a full second for the weight to catch up to what is being done. For measuring beans/grounds this isn't a big deal, but this advertises as a pour-over scale and I WOULD NOT recommend it for that. The response times are just too slow to be able to accurately control your pour or to accurately control your pull for an espresso shot. In conclusion: You get what you pay for. While this is not a bad scale by any means, it is not a great fit for people who are looking to take their coffee brewing seriously. There is a reason that professional-grade coffee scales cost $80 plus. This worked pretty well for me as an introductory scale when I was starting off a couple of years ago, but now that I have learned more about the process I am looking to replace it.
