Refurbished Perfection
By Gabriel Ruas Santos Rocha on Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2020
I was skeptical (to say the least) about this purchase. I read some bad reviews and horror stories regarding delivery and warranty issues, but the price for this refurbished Vizio was too good to pass, and at $189 with the potential to have smart capabilities that included airplay 2, I decided it was worth taking a risk. The TV arrived by FedEx, not Amazon delivery, and was just tossed at my front lawn, not delivered at my front porch, but my fears were squashed as I opened a box to a beautiful new-looking TV. It was very safely packaged with plastic and foam and all the necessary safety measures. I plugged it in and everything else was pretty self-explanatory from there on. I read the manual quickly, but frankly, no need to. The TV updates it self with upgrades as soon as you plug it in and do it’s initial configuration, so please let it run its course because it’s vital for its performance. And what a performance!! I paid $189 bucks for a four year old TV that runs like a brand new 2020 TV with all its capabilities, including Siri and HomeKit. Once you update the software, the Tv becomes a smart tv that is able to operate with Siri, Alexa, and Google assistant, not to mention it already has Airplay 2, and Chromecast also configured out of the box! The TV comes with smart cast, which is its own hub of apps for streaming of contents (sort of like firestick or Apple TV), and watch free, where you can watch tv for free! It’s a no brainer, the picture quality is incredible, especially considering at this value for your money. Vizio smart tv is a must buy of any kind, but my advice is: why spend a fortune on something you can get for a lot less and just upgrade? I am a satisfied customer!

Dead after one night of use.
By Chewdude on Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2019
Well we bought this TV for our son to replace an 18 year old 32 inch Vizio flat screen that is still working but has a few dark spots around the screen. Ordered Oct 25th then it sat in the box in my son's room till last night Dec 21st when I installed it on the wall with an aftermarket wall arm kit. After getting it installed we powered it up and started the initial setup. Once we got it connected to my LAN it began doing firmware or OS updates which seemed to take alot longer to complete then I thought it would for a new TV. Once that was finished we fiddled with the settings until he was happy with the picture and sound. Then we connected his Xbox one and he started to watch a movie on Vudu. The next day he told me that the TV randomly turned off and on a few times during the night and that he went to sleep with it on and woke up with it off and unable to turn it on. So I unplugged it and waited a few minutes before plugging it in again. It came on briefly for a couple min only to shut down and become unresponsive again and unable to be turned on at all. Contacting seller and requested a return due to receiving the unit for the most part DOA! Going to purchase the same model just not a renew/refurb as the 25 or so dollars we saved over buying new IMHO is not worth the risk or hassle. Will update this review with the outcome.
