A iPower Gas Powered Generator

Would give 0 stars if I could We purchased this generator on 6/26 and took it on our first camping trip over the 4th of July. Once we got there, we were unable to get the service cover off to add oil in order to run the unit. The screws would spin and spin but would not come out - as if the brackets holding them in were broken and spinning too. Once we got home, we contacted Amazon who directed us to Ai for support. After 8 days of emails to Ai, we were told that this is a “known defect” with this unit and that they would send us a replacement unit. Great! Until the next day when we got an email saying they’d actually like us to send the unit in for repair instead. So we packaged it back up and sent it in on 7/26. We were told it would take 6-10 business days for the unit to be retuned to us. Since then we have sent 4 emails and called Ai 3 times with NO RESOLUTION and $700 out of our pockets for a generator we still haven’t been able to use. Most recently, we have been given empty promises of “It’ll be shipped out today or Monday” and “You’ll have an update by the end of the day” and “The tracking number will be emailed now”. Do yourself a favor, and buy a generator from a reputable company. This is not worth the headache, frustration, and waste of hundreds of dollars.
