Remington MB4700 Smart Beard Trimmer

Dear Remington; I recently purchased a Remington MB4700 Smart Beard Trimmer for my husband as a Christmas present. He likes to wear a 5 o’clock stubble most of the time and the reviews indicated this should be the choice. After opening the device, he charged it most of the day and tried to use it that evening, but it would only blink a beep at him. He even tried plugging it in a got the same result. A detailed perusal of the “instructions” revealed absolutely no trouble-shooting tips or indications of what beeps & boops might mean. So we decided to return it to Amazon for a replacement.  Several days later, the new device arrived and my hubby immediately unboxed it at plugged it in to charge. After letting it charge overnight, he went to use it and couldn’t get it to turn on, even though it indicated a full charge. We looked through the instructions again and, “Yep” there were absolutely no trouble-shooting tips, so we decided to call the 800 number that was listed, thinking we might be doing something wrong. Nearly 30 minutes on hold later, we decided we had better things to do, and hung up.   The SECOND trimmer was returned and this time we requested a full refund. An electric razor company that can’t even make a razor that will turn on??? You guys deserve to be forced into bankruptcy in my opinion. PS My husband still doesn’t have a Christmas present due to your total incompetence! Chalk this whole unpleasant experience up to “lessons learned.” Sincerely, An extremely disappointed customer
