AOC X0032KSG7P AOC U2790VQ 27" Black (Open Box)

Update May 2024: 2 years on, and in addition to the "glitches out when it's cold" issue, this monitor has developed a permanent latent image problem, as if it was suffering from burn-in. But it's not burn-in; I assiduously turn monitors off when not in use. This product is simply bad. Don't buy it. So I bought this monitor in Q1 2022 and by Q1 2024, it developed a nasty glitch. The bottom 1/5th (roughly) of the screen would glitch out and would not display anything. Just a black bar. However, this glitch goes away when the monitor gets warm. To anyone experiencing the same issue: point a source of heat at the lower-right portion of the monitor. I use a space heater. A heat gun or a hair dryer should also work. The glitch should go away when that lower corner of the screen is hot. Please monitor this process, though. I can't be liable if you damage your monitor from TOO much heat. This is disappointing. I've owned dozens and dozens of monitors and televisions and laptop displays, and I've never experienced this weird "it won't work if it's cold." phenomenon. I mean, imagine if you owned a television, and you had to blow a hair dryer at it in order for it to work. That's the AOC experience. So, anyway, it works for now; the picture is sharp and crisp; there are no visual glitches (because I pointed a space heater at it). If I were to buy another 4k monitor today, I would avoid AOC.
