Doesn't suck at sucking - So, SO much better than Dirt Devil

This vac is fantastic. The first thing I noticed is it's packaged virtually entirely in recyclable packaging... literally 98% of the packaging goes right into the corrugated or plastic bag bin. Kudos. Second, and most important to most, is that THIS THING IS SOLID. It's made with aluminum and metal parts. It's not made entirely of cheap, easily-cracked plastic (*cough* dirt devil *cough*). It's not so loud I need to wear ear protection to run it (*cough* dirt devil *cough*). Replacement parts are reasonably priced (*cough* dirt devil *cough*). It's just quality construction. It glides fantastic, has a nifty little light to see the dirt, and picks up debris, dust, and hair great. The chassis is hugely customizable. Detach the canister to roll it flat under the coffee table. Extend the wand to get cobwebs on the ceiling. About the only downside is the smaller canister, but if you dump the dirt after every cleaning, it's not an issue. Great vac for the price.

Miss my old Shark!

Unfortunately, I thought newer would mean better.... I LOVED my old Shark upright (purchased new, something like 5 to 7 years ago)... the power button on the UV810 is a reach (rather than a thumb press on the handle as on the old). There is not always a spotlight, depending on how you are using the vacuum. And the center (circular) compartment of the "dust cup" never collects any dirt, but maybe I'm doing something wrong? The outer portion of the cup does fill, but VERY quickly, as this seems to be much smaller than the old machine. The vacuum itself is definitely smaller and narrower than the old one, but still has fairly good suction. I still love Shark vacuums and will probably buy a new one in the future, but obviously, I didn't do my homework before buying this one.

I bought another refurb of these from woot and I liked it so much, I wanted another and so I bought it here. Both came with more attachments than I could ever use. One of which works really well in cleaning out our dryer vents. This vacuum is a bit narrower than we are used to so it takes some extra passes to finish the job. The width of the vacuum, however, means the cleaning power is stronger than similar powered wide vacuums. It also is very maneuverable. Now we have one for upstairs and one for downstairs and I can retire our old Hoover that served us well into our carpeted basement.

These vacuums are amazing. I was looking for this exact model so I bought one renewed. The unfortunate thing is it look like it had been beat to heck and back. Severe major scratches and marks. I would have returned it but this model is hard to find now and it was a really good price.

The vacuum came with many attachments and even though it is renewed, it came in almost new condition. It works perfectly fine and the duo clean roller makes this ideal for hard floors. The lift away capability is great and lets you use the vacuum with much more ease. The pod itself is light and not hard to carry with you as you use the vacuum.

Excellent vacumn. A Shark Duoclean was specifically recommended by the flooring company for our new Core-Tec long plank flooring. They said "do not use a Dyson on this floor." The Duoclean soft roller in front works great to pick up dust, crumbs, and pet hair It's easy to push and works great on carpet, tile, and engineered flooring. It has a long cord that saves lots of time. There are no bags; dumping the debris is very easy. This reconditioned unit arrived well packed and is like new except for the filters. I easily replaced all 3 with inexpensive aftermarket products from Amazon that fit great. Get this, you will like it.

This is my favorite vacuum. I was so bummed when mine took a digger. I was so excited to fine this on line even as a refurbished item. I received this within 2 days of ordering it. It was packed very well and arrived in wonderful condition. I received a black one, it has very minor scratches on it.. BUT boy am I happy with it. Bought the refurbished model. This is my 2nd one of the UV810 model. I will only own shark vacuums. It came looking brand new and you cant tell it was used. This is their only model that you can use the floor piece without the canister. It's perfect for getting under beds etc. I have a house cleaning business and i take it with me. Great if you have alot of pet hair. I vacuum couches, chairs, you name it!

I love this vacuum. It gets into places larger vacs can not reach. It is light weight and does the best job ever. I wish Shark would keep selling this one. So far the Renewed one we purchased has been fine. This vac never loses suction and the soft roller on the front is amazing.
