Great Workout Shoes
By Michael O. Hazlett on Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2020
I bought these shoes about a month and a half ago to replace my New Balance Minimus' that had worn out. Since then I've been using them 6 days a week for my crossfit workouts and doing nature walks with my dog. So far the shoes having been holding up great. Going from minimal shoes like the Minimus or the Merrils that I had before to these means I don't have to worry about stepping on bigger rocks and feeling them through the soles. The tread on the bottom is also enough to give me grip on dirt trails while being flat enough to good for lifting. I only have two gripes. First, the shoes laces have a tendency to come untied when doing double unders or on runs. Not a super big deal if I remember to double tie them, although I really wish that more athletic shoes would switch to a quicklace system like Salomon has with their Speedcross shoes. The other is that there is a lot of cloth material compared to similar shoes. I suspect this will make them more durable in the long run, which is a good thing. However, I sweat a lot during workouts and live in a humid climate. Often times the shoes won't dry out overnight and I'm left with slightly soggy shoes.

Overengineered IMO
By Alex on Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2020
Picked these up on sale to try them out, given that so many people love nanos and the 9s specifically. Seems well constructed at first but there are plenty of spots where different materials are clearly glued together so I wouldn't be surprised to see it come apart under duress. Maybe it's my feet but I feel like I'm swimming in cushion and wide toebox - not something that inspires confidence while lifting. There's a material under the big toe that feels odd and may break in (appears to be a variation on the foam midsole). Honestly, my perception is that the shoe is overengineered and in trying to address everything, its a mismatch of shoe technology that is prone to production mistakes. Good news is that you never have to pay full price if you're open minded on colors - frequently 50%+ off the list price. That seems like a fair price to me given the observations above. (And if you love it, opportunity to stock up.) Some people love this shoe. I don't see it, but all feet are different. I've had a much better fit and performance from any of the nike metcon line or nobull trainers. I primarily do CrossFit and a fair amount of powerlifting where I find the competing products perform much better.

Great shoe for HIIT and Weight training

The Nano does exactly what you'd expect from a training shoe. I noticed the difference between the Nano and my running shoe immediately. The Nano is stiffer and provides a great deal more support for lateral movement. The drop is perfect for weight training and substantially different from the running shoe. I was literally leaning forward doing squats with my running shoe and don't have that problem with the Nano. I'm using the shoes for HIIT workouts and they are performing extremely well. Plenty of support for the moves. Good shoe for jump rope workouts. I would not recommend them for running more than 50 meters at a time. They are heavy and don't have the cushioning that running shoes do. (But then that's not why you'd buy Nano's, is it?) They do just fine for short sprints. I've used them every day for about 3 months and they are holding up great from a durability standpoint. I'd definitely recommend the Reebok Nano to others looking for a high-quality training shoe.
A noticeable improvement over runners or cheap tennis shoes.

I recently began to actually take care of myself. I had been using some cheap shoes during CrossFit/kettlebell workouts. I didn’t want to spend money on something that I would give up on. After about 6 months of sticking with it, I bought these on a recommendation of a friend. Even to a novice like me, I can tell the difference they make. The rigid heel and arch cup make lifting weights much more stable. The reinforcement in the outside of the upper and the short toe cap make push-ups easier on my toes. The toe box is extra wide and flares well coming out of the narrow arch support. The laces are long enough to use but short enough that they don’t flop around. Would highly recommend these shoes.
Comfy Nanos for CrossFit

Love these! Comfortable from the moment I put them on (right out of the box). Note: I have wide feet (for a woman) and these were superb right out of the box! They are also okay for Olympic lifts (my Adidas lifters are my favorite for Olympic lifts d/t their sturdiness). Added benefit, they were on sale when I got them and I had Discover bonus cash, so they ended up being a steal! Pros: •Comfortable right out of the box •Can run in them (may get more comfortable with my wearing/use - only have run in them a handful of times so far) •Work for Olympic lifts too My opinion- downsides... •I still prefer my running shoes for any running (in warm-ups or WODs). •Lifters for Olympic lifts (if time allows; creature of habit, have used them for most lifting. Con to this - changing shoes is a bit of a nuisance)
Easily the best Cross Fit shoes I have owned

So I glad I found these shoes. I had not considered Reebok shoes since the '90s. I figured they were lower cost, second-tier type of sports equipment not on par with the better-known premier brands. I think they went through that stage several years ago but are definitely completely different now. These are now the standard of cross fit/weight training shoes as far as I am concerned. This shoe gives absolutely great support especially laterally when weight lifting and doing standing exercises. I have had a pair for a month now and they are holding up great and every area seems very well made and constructed. Such an improvement over the various running shoes from other manufacturers that I had years previous in the gym. Definitely gets my highest recommendation. A++
Great workout shoe, but men should definitely order at least a half size up

Great, rigid shoes for gym work. I use these primarily for regular, non Olympic weightlifting, and cardio on an air resistance bike. Good non slip outsole. Haven't had any slipping incidents even when covered in sweat. Has a very wide toe box to accommodate bigger guys with enormous Sasquatch feet, but lengthwise these shoes can be a little tight so order at least a half size above your normal sizing. The shoes remind me of neoprene/elastic Dryshod and Muck boots, but with perforations to help manage foot perspiration. Don't take these outside expecting them to survive the elements though; they're meant for indoor gym duty and nothing else. One thing to note: the insole is basic and not an orthotic insole, so if you need arch support plan on buying insoles.
Awesome workout shoe for leg days.

I wear a size 14 in all athletic shoes. This fits very well and is extremely comfortable. It is not the best all-purpose workout shoe. It is not good for agility based cardio due to the width. Definitely not the best for lots of jumping where you need to land on the balls of your feet. I now only wear this shoe for working out with heavy weights on leg days. It is an amazing shoe for squats and lunges. Very challenging and frustrating shoe if you incorporate a lot side planking into your routine due to the extra room on the sides of the feet and the extremely chunky heal. I purchased the Reebok Les Milles shoe which is cheaper and use it for everything now (except running).
Size up half a size!

I have 2 pairs of Nano 8s and they are both a men's 7 (women's 9) but the Nano 9's seem to fit a bit smaller. I originally ordered a 7 but my toe was jamming into the front of the toebox during workouts so I exchanged them for a 7.5 and they fit perfectly! I'd recommend ordering a half size up from the Nano 8's or a half size to a full size up from your normal shoe size.

Solved my plantar fasciitis problem

After 6 months of continued pain from plantar fasciitis and trying plantar fascia inserts in other shoes, plantar fascia night splints, cortisone injections, I researched online for many hours and came up with this shoe for the problem with my feet. They have cured the problem and hardly every have pain. They started feeling better from day 1. If you are having problems with this I highly recommend. They are comfortable, light weight. Other than snagging the uppers on toe from kicking against something they have held up well. And I am very hard on shoes.
