Edit 2: Back to 3 stars. Repeat wash misshapens the bed/foam. The zipper for the hood broke in the wash and is unusable now. The zippers overall feel weaker after each wash. I regret paying extra for the hood now that it's useless. Edit: Thankfully, the foam in the bed is washable and dryable on delicate/air dry! Thank goodness the entire bed is washable so upped my rating from 3 stars to 4. Can't put 5 because there is no waterproofness anywhere within the bed. Any accidents can soak through and puddle at the bottom of the bed, soaking anything it's on top of. Have to keep a puppy pad under it to protect our ottoman. Original: Cats loved this bed. Even my dog. It was warm and comfy. Prime real-estate for our pets. The zipper was fine. Unfortunately my elder cat had an accident in it. No big deal being washable right? Well, it soaked through the entire thing and through the bottom. The foam ring soaked. Heat pad soaked. All of it! Heat pad is at least wipable. The foam ring though, I'm hoping is washable because if it falls apart, this will be a huge waste of money! Could've at least made the bed have a water resistant or better, waterproof liner to protect the foam ring inside and the heat pad. I'm very upset by this.
