No Static Cling

This is an excellent coffee grinder at an excellent price. For those who are having problems with static cling and messes with the ground coffee: just add a few drops of water to the coffee beans in the grinder before grinding - there will be no static and the ground coffee will slide evenly out of the container with no mess. I learned this trick from the PBS series "America's Test Kitchen".

What a Mess........

I've had coffee grinders before, but not one like this with the closing lid on top of the delivery bin. With the lid closed, static makes the grounds cling to the top of the bin and sides. Once the bin is open, or it hits a finger or something else...... like a bomb...... grounds go EVERYWHERE. I'm sure everyone has seen how glitter gets everywhere.... this has to be the absolute second place to it, because fresh coffee grounds to every freaken where.... Other than the clean up, it works great...... but the clean up almost make it not worth it, and I'm seriously contemplating buying a coffee grinder that is a top load and deliver grinder. Not one with a delivery bin. Edit: after using it for less than 3 months, it's stopped grinding. Just no longer working.
