We have used these for years.
By Stephen L. Blythe on Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2024
After 3 or 4 years the ear pads are wearing out and the batteries are not holding a charge, so we just buy new sets. We have a set for both my wife and I - given our various abilities to hear, and the horrible muffled sound from the tiny little speakers on our TVs, these allow us each to adjust the volume to our individual comfort levels. These are the third sets that we have had. What we like: they are comfortable. The sound quality is good. The transmitter/docking station as well as the headphones can be switched to one of three different channels, so that I can listen to a TV in one room while my wife listens to different TV show in another room without interference. Other headphones don't have this feature, and it is important. What we sometimes don't like: the sound-damping qualities of the headphone pads is so good that you cannot have a conversation while wearing these. I have even sent emails to Sony suggesting that they have little microphones and amplifiers built into the headphones with an on/off switch - sort of like with Ear Pods that have two different modes for either "noise cancelling" or "transparency". THAT would be veru helpful!!

Product Randomly Stopped Working
By Philip Sawyer on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2023
I bought this about 2 years ago, worked great at start, despite a few hiccups. For starters if there is no constant audio coming in, they will disconnect from the receiver in a very short period of time. At first I dealt with it, but over time it got very frustrating. Especially if you use this for Zoom/Discord Calls where, if you have to speak for awhile, they'll disconnect and you can't hear anyone else until you click the connect button or turn them off and back on.They are touted to auto-charge all the time while on the stand, but this isn't exactly true. Once its charged they stop charging, even if the battery drains afterwards. So if you put them on the stand before bed, they will charge full during the night, then stop charging, you return next day and find them either completely drained or very little battery life, so you need to remember to reactivate the charger in the morning to ensure they charged during the day. Too many times when I had a planned call or session, I forgot to take them off in morning, turn them on and place them back on charger so it would charge them up again for the call and I wind up having to pull out my old Blue Tooth headphones.Again, another small issue, but over time it becomes tedious and an extra chore to have to remember. You wonder why you paid so much for the product to have all of these extra things to remember. The sound quality was pretty good, nothing amazing, but better than cheap headphones.I really enjoyed these at first, but after the first year they constant disconnects and needing to reactivate the charger got old.By year two, they randomly stopped working, just won't turn on anymore. And the padding has started falling apart. Now I am someone who handles tech carefully, I'm very present when I put them on and take them off. I also don't use them all the time, I generally use the soundbar for my PC, so they falling apart wasn't from wear and tear.My other cheaper headphones and headsets from 5+ years ago still work the same, but these didn't make it past two years before dying. Overall, not worth the price.
