Learning curve but totally worth every dollar and minute spent

This product was a HUGE game changer for my family and I cannot recommend it enough. I needed to pump in order to give myself more flexibility and freedom without having to give my son formula if it wasn’t necessary. I pump when I’m driving, blow drying my hair, making dinner. Seriously amazing. There was, however, a learning curve to this. It took me 5 sessions of pumping, reading the guides provided on the app, and adjusting/readjusting to get the suction latched on just right to where I was actually producing a lot. My advice: read the directions thoroughly! Suction is everything and if you don’t fit it super tightly in your bra, you’re not going to get NEARLY as much milk. I had them loosely in my bra and the suction on the flange wasn’t completely sealed all around my breast and I produced a 1/2 oz from both breasts combined… once I kept at it and figured out the suction and which flange would fit my nipple best, I produced 3 oz between both breasts in half the time! While you can def accomplish a lot of chores and things while pumping, don’t do things that cause you to lean over or have to be bounced around a lot because the suction with release and you’ll be pumping very little if nothing out. Next, create a solid routine/system for how you’re going to clean, dry and store your pump and it’s pieces. I have an amazing pump backpack that came with the pump my insurance provided me and I converted it to have everything I need for this pump so it’s incredibly easy to bring with me. I feel like a human woman again with this pump because you don’t have tubes going everywhere and your nipple exposed. I hating pumping, I was embarrassed and it took SO much time out of my day. Granted, you still need to clean all the parts but you gain back so much time because you can do things! Another thing I absolutely love is that for me, this pump helps to stimulate my breasts to produce more milk. You can literally wear these for an hour each day and get so much milk and it’s perfect because it increases your production overall which is something I needed because my son wasn’t getting enough milk at the breast and we had to start supplementing with 4oz of formula a day - which none of us enjoyed. I’ve only been using this a few days (though I’ve used it like 7 times already haha!) so I’ll try to update as time goes on to be sure this product still stays as top notch as I currently think it is. I hope this helps any lactating mammas out there to know that this is expensive but absolutely worth the time you gain back from it if you can afford it!

don't waste your money!!!! Zero suction after only a handful of uses

I have already tried to write this review twice just to give the pumps time and the benefit of the doubt. Do not waste your money on this product. For a product that is $500 you think that you would get better quality. For starters the sensor that is supposed to tell you how much milk is in the cup does not work!! I saw other reviews saying this as well. I decided to go ahead and get this one and figured that the sensor not working would be something I could get past. I was wrong!!! you cannot see how much milk is in the bottle unless you take a picture from the front or you go stand in front of a mirror. This completely defeats the purpose of this trying to be a more efficient pump because you're wasting time just trying to see if you're getting any milk in the bottle because the sensor will say you have 3 oz pumped when you don't even have half an ounce in the bottle. My issues with the suction power and the sensor not working are 2 huge downfalls because if you do not have proper suction you're not getting any milk but the sensor is saying that you are. I bought the 2 pumps because when I go back to work I will not have time to pump. Yes I know it's illegal not to let a woman have pump brakes but I work in a hospital and it's just not gonna be possible. One of my pumps has already stopped having suction power making my pumping time go from 30 minutes to an hour. Even if I were able to sneak away even to change out the bottle or the milk it's gonna take me longer than 15 minutes. With this pump it takes me 30 minutes to empty each breast. So with only 1 pump it takes me an hour to empty both breasts and the pumps only hold enough battery life for 30 minutes. Once the battery starts getting low the suction power is almost non existent. It requires you to wait 60 minutes after charging your pump for you to use again. I have changed all the parts and rubber pieces thinking maybe those are causing it to not have section, nothing changed. I have the pump on its Max suction setting and can't even feel it. I do have it in the correct spot because it was working before. I've had go back to my madela which is not hands free, requiring me to sit there for 30 minutes while my breasts empty. I am so disappointed and sad that this pump did not work for me. I feel like even if it was user error the fact that the sensor does not work is a huge issue. The battery life only allowing 30 minutes to pump and 60 minutes delay to use it after charging are huge issues. When you get the pump ot comes with 2 shield sizes. If the sizes don't work for you it states you can buy another shield. If you're already spending $500 they should give you the shield that fits you for free. it's been a waste of my time, money, and has stressed me out. I would never reccomend this pump!
