Tenergy Renair Air Purifier HEPA Filter

Ok, it truly works really great and could receive a much higher rating from me. I purchased the product due to the smoke traveling from the Camp Fire, Butte County, CA in early Nov 2018. It cleared the air in my 10’ x 12’ room in ~10 minutes on medium fan. The night light options are very nice (just blue light, rotating thru each color of the rainbow, or no light). I did try the night-time function, which shuts off all lights and runs on minimal fan for low noise, but due to smoke levels, had to turn up fan speed and “on”. Kept the nightlight “off” and just put a folded towel over the top to cover the lighted control panel. Easy. This product is really easy to use, and the instruction booklet Is easy to follow. HOWEVER, my 2-star rating is due to this product’s filter scent of “baby powder”, which lasted more than a week even tho I ran this purifier non-stop on medium fan. For me, the scent was most noticeable after being away from the room for at least 15 minutes, but then I would become re-accustomed (it wasn’t awful or overwhelming for me, but very noticeable). The scent disturbed my cat greatly as cats are sensitive, but the smoke outside the room was worse so staying in the room with the purifier was the better choice (the house is a rental and is NOT energy efficient). I’m leery of buying a replacement filter due to this issue of scent for both me and my cat. I would greatly prefer an unscented filter! I did not recall this scent being listed in the product info when purchasing.
