Uncomfortable, unreliable, unusable & Logi support uncommunicative

After having some wrist pain from using a traditional mouse for years, I thought I'd go "ergonomic" with this mouse. I've been a happy user of Logitech peripherals for decades. Note: I paid close attention to the instructions on buying the correct "size." I bought the one that was recommended for my hand size. This mouse has not reduced my wrist pain overall. The pain is different, but not gone. There are a few problems. First, you have to support the weight of your entire arm on your thumb. Unlike a regular mouse where your weight is evenly distributed across your entire palm, you can't relax your hand on this one. If you do, the pinky side of your hand is actually resting on your desk or mouse pad. This needs to be lifted by your thumb to move the mouse. Second, keeping your fingers aligned with the buttons and scroll wheel is very difficult, particularly if you want to use one of the thumb buttons, because gravity will completely shift your hand position. Or, you can use more arm muscles so that your hand practically levitates above the mouse... (Now my arm hurts too, not just my wrist.) Third, the scroll wheel doesn't work nearly as well as on my previous Logitech mouse, which has been discontinued. Now, you need to run "Logi Options+" software to "configure" your mouse. Okay, fine. But, suddenly, and without warning, the scroll wheel will completely stop functioning until you reopen Options+ so that it can reconfigure your mouse. Doing this every couple of days is very irritating. This mouse would be much better if they simply had extended a platform out to the right for your fingers to rest on so that you could use your pinky for a bit of leverage, still allowing the mouse to glide. When I attempted to contact "Live" support, their bot took 10 minutes to decide to pass me to a live person. Another 10 minute wait ensued, after which time I was told I had been "accidentally" connected to the wrong country and transferred without even letting me talk. I ran out of time after not receiving any response for another five minutes. I would definitely NOT recommend this mouse. I would also not recommend using any peripherals that require using "Options" or "Options+" for configuration. UPDATE: It's been a few months. This mouse is STILL very difficult to put up with. I have to reopen "Options+" to reconfigure the mouse every time the system boots up and often two to three times during the day. Other times, it simply locks up. Scrolling (the feature that simply won't work without running Options+ to configure the mouse) will suddenly stop, then start again 15-30 seconds later, while clicking and moving still work (but they work by default). DO. NOT. BUY. FINAL UPDATE: It's been a few more months. This mouse is the most unreliable piece of junk I've ever had. "Options+" has been updated in the last week, now it crashes almost immediately after configuring the mouse. While keeping the Options+ program open, a message pops up about the backend process failing, which requires a click. Once clicked, the modem is reconfigured, then the error message appears again. Contacting Logitech was absolutely no help. I'm replacing it with a new brand. This one's going in the trash.
