Turns out, the frequency response across the entire working spectrum looks like a mountain. This sub is in desperate need of equalization or a notch filter. There's nothing smooth about it. When they claim 29-120Hz ±3db, I believe they mean both 29Hz and 120Hz is -6db down from its peak at around 55Hz. This means the sub is really only good for making noise centered around 55Hz. Either 55Hz overpowers everything else, or if you tune it so 55Hz does not overpower all else, then all the other frequencies are overly attenuated. The whole sub needs its own equalizer or notch filter to smooth out it's peaky frequency response. On the other hand, the amplifier is plenty strong enough, and the sub drivers can handle the power. Overall construction is a bit light with noticeable box resonance at high volume. It's definitely built for a price point with lots of compromises in box and driver construction. But it looks good and has a small footprint for a sub. So, it has a good amp, and a good look, but the box is cheaply made, and the sub has such a peak at around 55 Hz that it's all you can hear. This renders it useless for anything other than sounds centered on, or near, 55 Hz. Maybe you can find a location that naturally cancels out frequencies around 55Hz. Otherwise, I can't recommend this sub to anybody.
