Truly Great Mattress
By James Lowe on Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2023
When my wife and I got married, we needed to get a bigger mattress because we had both been sleeping on single mattresses before. I really wanted to find one that was fairly soft. That’s kind of a tall order since most mattresses seem to make a selling point out of being extra firm. I was also intrigued by the possibility of buying online and not having to get scammed at a big mattress store. Finally, I read that many mattresses can have a fiberglass lining hidden behind a zipper that you’re actually never supposed to unzip. But if you do unzip it, it can spread glass fibers all over, making people itch and potentially damaging eyes, lungs, and other sensitive areas. So I definitely wanted to avoid that. Here’s where Sweetnight comes in. After doing a lot of research, I finally came across a mattress that is reasonably priced, advertises softness instead of firmness, doesn’t have a fiberglass lining (or a zipper, either), and had good reviews. I decided to pull the trigger. It arrived promptly. The box was a bit torn, and it was noticeably heavy, but the mattress inside was undamaged, and I was able to get it in position without too much trouble. We gave it the recommended three days to fully expand before sleeping on it, but when we did the experience was heavenly. It is wonderfully soft, but still supportive (I am not a small person so support is important). There was some morning stiffness as our bodies adjusted to the new mattress (which is why mattress companies usually offer such long trial periods), but after that it has been nothing but great. Another thing worth mentioning is that it has the perfect amount of edge support. It has been over 2 years since then. I intentionally waited to write my review because the most helpful reviews are always the ones written with lots of experience. The mattress is just as comfortable as it was at first. I turn it every six months or so, and there has been no noticeable indenting, sinking, or degrading. I can’t recommend this mattress highly enough. If your experience is anything like mine, you will become a lifelong customer.

Sinks in after a year or so, no customer support.
By TephraSquall on Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2022
Edit: I have now been attempting to contact the company for 3 MONTHS via email for a return or replacement, or ANYTHING. Complete silence. Customer support is nonexistent. The warranty is a plain lie. Prepared to be $350+ in the hole for an inferior product. They don't care.I got this mattress a little over two years ago.I am a side sleeper usually and have nerve problems from a slipped disk in my lower back, so I really need the mattress to keep good support through the hips. When I received it I gave it the full 72 hours it said it needed, and it was initially pretty comfortable. The top had a very nice plushness to it and stayed cool well. After the first year though, the bed had already lost most of its support on both sides through the hips (the hammock effect). I have rotated it a few times to try to keep the wear even on it, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference after the first rotation. Everything stays sunken in.I've now just passed year two, and it has only gotten worse. I now wake up in pain just about every night. I know it isn't just me, because the center of the mattress, where no-one has slept, still has the support it initially had when it arrived. There is a very large difference between the parts that have been regularly slept on, and the parts that havent. Unfortunately, there doesn't really seem to be a way to remedy this, as you can't flip the mattress over and sleep on the other side. This may be considered a "cheaper" mattress, but it was all I could afford. I don't have the money to get one of those "splurge-because-when-you-think-about-it-you-spend-a-third-of-your-life-sleeping-on-it" mattresses. I have very limited funds I'm working with, so I need budget items that have a degree of longevity, which is a difficult thing to find. This doesn't seem to be one of those things. Another commenter said it was only good as a guest mattress that wouldn't be used much, and I'm inclined to agree, though I would still recommend something else.
