It worked as designed, caveat on the bright lights

The pods grew, although the dill sprouted and died, not sure if it’s sprouting up again. The parsley maxed out the germination date range and is now growing. It’s important to place the mint and thyme somewhere they won't be overshadowed by the Thai and Genovese basil as these grow tall fast, especially when pruned. Water level indicator worked well to notify me via blinking red light when water level is low. After filling it up, it will turn back green again. The plant food reminder also blinks red, once you placed plant food just press the button again to have reminded again another 2 weeks. It lights up and turns off as scheduled, the water pump seemed quite for me. What's unexpected is the white 20w bright light (it has blue and red LED as well), I need to put a cover around it since this is placed in our bedroom, bedside actually. I set it to open at 7am and then it closes at 9pm. The first time I set it, I have to be up by 7am to trigger the switch at that time. It gives a good smell of the herbs in the room. I'm cutting a few leaves here and there and munching on it or putting it on some snack items. I would suggest using pairs vs what I did, which is put them all at once: Genovese basil and thyme, Thai basil and mint, Dill and parsley. Just don't pair both basils as they take up a lot of space quickly. Or probably transfer them when they grow to a size so that the others, for me its thyme, mint, dill and parsley can grow well too. It’s good that the power supply also is auto-volt as I need not worry for finding a 220v adapter here for the power plug socket in the Philippines. A wonderful gift idea, you can also use it to germinate more seeds with a seed start tray. Happy with the purchase and customer support by the way. I had problem with another order and they replaced and shipped the missing components immediately. Be on the lookout for their good price deals. [Photo was taken May 5, 2021. It's only good for certain herbs

Pro: water loving herbs (basil, dill) will grow like wildfire. Con: I HATE cleaning this thing after a grow cycle (roots everywhere, mold, mineral deposits), expense to replace pods, not everything (veg, herb, flower) grows well in hydroponics. I've tried many herbs in this water garden, and the only two things that grow well and are worth it are basil and dill. So if you eat a lot of these and like to have them fresh on hand...go ahead and spend a wad. If you hate cleaning and don't like to keep throwing money at this thing (I've tried lower priced hydroponic fertilizers and diy sponges), maybe think twice. Also note, growing other veg (tomato, lettuce, etc)....they really need more room to grow and they turn out very small or fragile (very thin, wimpy lettuce leaves). The Aero is just okay. I'd rather grow things in real dirt and sun or just drive to the store.
