Mizuno Remains my favorite
By LarBr0 on Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2020
I wasn't sure what to expect, but I absolutely love these. They are a bit difficult to get on at first, but they fit so very well. I can actually use these as slip ons and still do casual jogging without tying them, or tie them tight and run. They are not light, but have an excellent feel, padding and stability. I bought Wave creation 17s in 2016 and have not found anything close since- until now! These are definitely an improvement though. My two cents, I will probably buy another pair in another color...

Hip pain
By Skaphandrus on Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2022
Every time I wear these shoes for a day, I get hip pain (Tensor Fasciae Latae syndrome) on left side. It goes away after a few days if I don't wear the shoes. I like the style, weight and foot comfort, but obviously the hip pain is a deal breaker. Never had any other shoes do this.

Awesome comfort and durability!

This is a great, long-distance running shoe that has tremendous durability! I've nearly worn out 2 pairs of this model. This shoe fits my orthotics well. My wear pattern on the sole is perfectly aligned because of it. I would definitely recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a high-mileage, comfortable shoe.

Durable, comfortable and nice design. I didn’t find too many options on wide sizes
Good shoe for price

Comfortable to stand 4-6 hours in. I wore these for 3 days straight where I was on my feet for 6 straight hours each day and my feet didn't hurt at the end of the day. Not bad for an economy shoe.
Best Running Shoes I've Worn!

I personally love these shoes, but I don't think they are for everyone. A little bit of a preface, I wanted shoes that were going to give me a lot of support and cushion. I've been feeling pains in my shins looking back, it's mainly because of running in older worn out shoes. So, this time, I wanted to spend a bit more on shoes to make sure they felt great and would stay that way for as long as possible. These shoes have definitely delivered! I think they look great, I love the built in tongue and it fits my feet really well. I run from like 2-8ish miles so I prefer something with a lot more support, especially because I may not run consistently enough so having the extra support really helps me get back into it.However, if you're looking for lighter shoes that feel a lot more minimalist to fit your running style and needs, then these are probably not for you. My dad has slightly wider feet and it's harder for this to fit his feet and they feel significantly heavier than other running shoes (I've worn mainly Asics before for training).
Wanted another Pair

Purchased these in black and wanted to add the blue ones to my wardrobe. Little snug getting them on at first but break in nicely.

The wave creation 20 knit fit has some changes from the 17's I am currently wearing. The tongue is part of the shoe with elastic. This does make it more difficult to get my foot in and out since I have a high arch. This might be a best fit for someone with a lower arch, but I am making it work.Feels good - I feel a little bit faster in them
Not like previous versions with features some may or may not like

Been buying the Wave Creation for almost 20 years. This model is different than the previous versions. There is no tongue. It’s a slip on sleeve At the moment, it’s not a bad or good thing, just depends on the fit after some wear. I do dislike the attached lace eyelets affixed to the outside of the shoe. The sturdy plastic prohibits shoe movement and flexibility. The hard plastic also can cut into your ankles.
Extremely narrow for normal feet

Very disappointed and shocked about this with Mizuno. I worn out Wave creations since model 12 and all have been good so far. This is the first time I tried a knit version as the new model isn't still available, but it's extremely narrow. I don't think a W size would be enough to have a confortable fit, so if you have a normal or wide feet, don't try this model. In the beginning I tough it's a matter of normal material expansion, but I have so far 5 sessions with more than 50km total and it should be enough for an expected expansion, so it's the way the tightness is. I also noticed the sole movement is not harmonic and it feels like the movement is not neutral, it tries to pull from outside to inside, which makes the sole to make a slight correction and more friction of the fit to the sole, so it causes sores, plus the fact of how tight it's. Again, very shocked about and the description should mention this so some of us avoid buying this shoes.
