HP Omen 17.3" Gaming Laptop (refurbished)

I'm not sure why they say "refurbished" because there's no external signs of any wear and tear. It came to me in perfect shape and it's a beauty. Not only does it look good, but it performs well too. I ran it through some stress test to see how well it can perform and this baby soars through them without a hiccup. This is an amazing laptop and awesome quality at a fair price.

I really wanted to like this laptop - Buyer beware

I really wanted to like this laptop. HP did a nice job with the design and the stats are impressive for a laptop so inexpensive, understanding that this is a reconditioned unit. The construction is good and I wonder about the performance of a non-furbished unit. However, there was either a graphics card or hard drive issue that continued to cause the laptop to 'freeze up' requiring constant restarts. After the first day, I made sure to update all of the drivers, but after a week and a half of this problem, I contacted Amazon/HP tech support. They were very considerate and helpful in reformatting the machine in an attempt to resolve the issue, but their tech support advice did not fix the problem. Unfortunately, I have to return machine within the allowed period or I'll be stuck with a hardware issue.
