Lovin my keyless entry locks!
By Luv to Shop! on Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2019
I've installed 2 of these locks for my house. Front and back doors. I chose this brand because we've used Kwikset before. I like the fact that we can use our existing keys for our new locks. Very easy to re-key your locks. I've been wanting to install these locks for some time now. I'm happy that I finally did. There's 5 of us in our household, and we each have our own codes. This lock will allow you to set up upto 30 codes, 4-8 #s. If you want to use the Z-wave, you need a hub. I bought the SmartThings from Amazon (of course) for about $68 bucks. I already have the app in my Samsung phone, all I had to do is add the device (hub). As soon as I set up the hub, I was able to connect the lock in the app. Now I can lock/unlock via phone. This lock is also compatible w/Alexa. Easy to set up as well. Now I can ask Alexa to lock my doors :-) This lock also has the capability to auto lock too! The only bad thing about this lock is that the buttons do not light up. Other than this, I'm quite happy with this product. I now have ONLY 2 keys hanging from my key chain. Key to my car and house :-) I would definitely recommend this product!

Parts wer missing and locks were repackaged
By Gordon Small on Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2023
I purchased two of these locks to install in my new house. The completion of the house was delayed so I wasn't able to install the lock until after the return date for the locks. I just left them sealed in the boxes until I was ready to install them. Lock 1: There were 2 screws missing. The screws were made specifically for the lock so buying a screw from a hardware store was not possible. I was able to jerry rig it and mad it work but it wasn't ideal. The next problem was that the lock wouldn't connect to my smartthings hub. After several hours of trying different things and time on the phone with the Kwikset help line to no avail I was about to give up. I was watching a youtube video I noticed another kwikset video about how to reset the lock to factory settings. After resetting the lock I was able to connect it to my smartthings hub. My question: Why did I spend so much time on the kwikset help line and the reset was never suggested by the kwikset rep? Lock 2: The bracket that holds the inside mechanism to the door was missing along with the 2 screws that hold the mechanism to the bracket. On the plus side, the lock connected to the smartthings hub without any problem. Unfortunately without the bracked the lock is useless. I can understand having a missing part on a order but having missing parts on bot locks is not acceptable.
