This unit gives you options on how much you want to fry with the choice of 3 different baskets. I use it and then I can store the used oil in the pan until the next use to save a little money on oil. I also use a mix of shortening and oil and there is no difference in taste. Small enough to store on a shelf in your pantry and large enough to handle your deep frying jobs.

Whoever designed this product is out of their mind. I'm going to mention one thing and one thing only. The power cord and plug in port are simply, awful, beyond belief.I unbox the product, I take all the pieces out. I read the complete instructions. I go and try to put the end of the cord into the charging port. It's right side up, and I am NOT trying to jam it in. "Finally, it goes in and I hear a click". I fill the unit with oil, I turn the unit on, it lights up with no problem. I place the baskets inside. All of a sudden, the power shuts off. I look at the back of the unit, and the power cord is drooping out of the port. I turn the unit around and pull the cord out. A small piece of metal falls out of the port. I look inside the port and I notice that a sliver of plastic has cracked off making it impossible to ever plug in the cord without it coming loose again.I really don't understand, how you can make a product that costs $50 where you don't spend the extra $1 to make a port that doesn't break. This thing broke on me the very same day! How long do you think it would last in the average family home?
