Great. I love it.

Since I live on the 36th floor condo, I’m not allowed to have a gas grill. Charcoal is too slow and dirty. Also, I would like to be able to grill in winter too. This is the solution I’ve been looking for. With this, I can grill fish, burgers, satay, steak, whatever at anytime indoor. The best thing about it is it’s not producing more smoke that pan frying something. Which means, it doesn’t make my hair and clothes smelly. It’s easy to use. The heat is uniform too across the entire surface. And it’s easy to clean the grill. For the bottom oil-catcher pan, I just cover it with aluminum foil before I grill so I don’t have to wash it. The only thing is I cannot clean the sides of the inner part of the base. And I cannot cover them with foil because they’re the source of the heating light. See picture.

it cooks ok.. heats up fast.. but still not like having a real grill

I had a cheap indoor grill that cooked as good as this one.. This one heats up faster and cleans easier and thats about all the difference.. This is not smokeless... I put some water in the drip pan and it does not smoke a lot tho. It still does not cook food like a real grill... its NOT adjustable.. you can't grill food at a low temp for a longer period to get a real grilled flavor. It basically has 2 temps.. low.. and high. I wish someone could make a grill that you could get a real Grilled flavor.

Can't say enough good about this grill. Bought it on sale on Amazon and if I had known how good it worked I might have purchased a couple more. It really cooks (grills), no odor, VERY little smoke, gets hot immediately and is pretty easy to clean with just a damp sponge and water. I'm thinking about perhaps buying a couple more as Christmas gifts for my daughters and their families. Just think, no LP gas cylindes to buy and lug home, no charcoal to get started, light weight to carry and store (it will fit under a bed). Just plug it in and your food is cooked perfectly and quickly, what's not to like about this grill!! I love it.

Works great as an indoor grill. Cooks just about everything perfectly if you are trying to simulate a gas grill. Cooking surface and drip tray clean up easy in the sink or dishwasher. While the food on the grill will not smoke, the contents of the drip pan will scorch and smoke. Careless turning of food can cause a mess indoors, so use quality cookware. Make sure you plug this into a wall outlet only. Cord will get hot on setting 2 and long term use while on setting 2 may damage outlets.

This little grill that I picked up on a deal of the day, does pretty well I think. I just used it for the first time and I thought the best test would be a burger. It was a good burger. If it was off the outside grill, (charcoal, Akorn Jr) it would have been better, but this electric grill did much better than what my optigrill does with burger. I think this will be a solid option when it's too rainy or freezing for outside cooking. I usually go for a medium burger, but I'm still getting used to the timing on this. I had no smoke at all and cleanup was easy. I'll update should things change. Did some chicken and burgers today. Still going good. Update 8/3/19 I've been using this grill a lot. I do a lot of chicken on it for lunches during the work week. I've put the grate through the dishwasher tons of times and it still looks new. I love this grill.
It works as well as my charcoal Weber

I grilled stakes and pork chops this weekend. Both came out perfect. The times in booklet are good approximation, but I used digital probe thermometer I got on amazon. Very little smoke; less than frying meat. Just in case I did steaks on patio and pork chops on cooking surface under the hood, but probably would be fine anywhere in kitchen. Great grilled meat taste without charcoal smoke, which is not healthy. Super easy cleaning of non-stick grilling surface and aluminum drip pan. Just make sure to preheat for 7 min before putting meat on

We were really hoping that this grill will work just as it is described by other customers. Living in Northern MN, the ability to grill inside without smoke would be awesome. We were so disappointed with the product, we discussed the reasons why we shouldn't keep it while cooking our dinner on it. It started well. There was a little bit of smoke but it disappears quickly but not too long after, our smoke alarm went off and we were opening the windows and turning on the 3 fans we have to try to get the smoke out of the apartment. The heat was also not enough. We had the grill on the highest setting and to cook about a half inch steak, it took about 30min. It also does not grill mushroom well. We grilled mushrooms and red onion and the red onion tasted fine and had some good grill marks but the mushroom just dried up. It was dehydrated and not grilled. The infra light is bright and red and makes it difficult to see if the meat is cooked. Overall, I don't recommend this if you truly are hoping that it wouldn't make your smoke alarm go off when you use it. We returned ours today.

Received The Redigrill today and couldn’t wait to make some grilled pork chops. Out of the box and ready to go in less than 30 seconds. As per instructions put on keep warm setting for 5 seconds and then switch to high for 6 minutes to get grill plate to temperature. Chops were 1/2. To 3/4 inches thick and cooked to perfection equally from end to end. The juiceiest pork chops I ever had from any other type of grill. Clean up was also a snap to do. All I can say is if you are looking for an indoor grill that is practically smokeless look no further than the Redigrill. You won’t be sorry.
Innovative Technology, but Beware the Smoke Show

The Tenergy Redigrill, touted as a revolutionary indoor smokeless grill, caught my attention with its promise of grilling perfection without the hassle of smoke-filled rooms. As an avid griller and culinary enthusiast, I eagerly set out to put this appliance to the test. While the Redigrill impressed me with its innovative design and performance, I must warn potential buyers about an unexpected downside—it created more smoke than anticipated, even inside the house. Let's start with the positives. The Redigrill boasts a sleek and modern design that complements any kitchen decor. Its compact size makes it suitable for both small and large cooking spaces. The non-stick grilling surface, combined with the built-in grease catcher, ensures hassle-free cooking and easy cleanup. The grill heats up quickly and evenly, providing consistent and reliable cooking results. The removable parts are dishwasher-safe, adding to the convenience factor. When it comes to grilling performance, the Redigrill excels in delivering juicy and flavorful food. The infrared heating technology is impressive, promoting even heat distribution and minimizing flare-ups. The grill marks it produces give that authentic outdoor grilling aesthetic. I was able to achieve deliciously seared steaks, succulent burgers, and perfectly grilled vegetables. The precise temperature control allowed for versatility in cooking various types of food, making it suitable for different culinary preferences. However, here's where the smoke enters the picture. Despite the manufacturer's claims of being "smokeless," the Redigrill did emit a considerable amount of smoke during my cooking sessions. The smoke generated was enough to trigger my smoke alarms and fill the kitchen with a hazy cloud. While the smoke was not as intense as an outdoor grill, it was still significant and lingered longer than expected. This issue posed a challenge when grilling indoors, as proper ventilation or an extraction fan became necessary to avoid setting off alarms and causing discomfort. Furthermore, the smoke issue was not limited to just cooking meats or high-fat foods. Even grilling vegetables at moderate temperatures produced more smoke than I had anticipated. While the taste of the food remained unaffected, the smoke-related inconvenience dampened the overall grilling experience. It's worth noting that individual experiences may vary, and factors such as the type of food being cooked, cooking temperatures, and kitchen ventilation can influence the amount of smoke generated. However, it is essential to be prepared for the possibility of smoke, especially if using the Redigrill indoors without proper ventilation. In conclusion, the Tenergy Redigrill presents an innovative approach to indoor grilling with its sleek design, excellent cooking performance, and convenient features. It delivers deliciously grilled food with consistent results. However, it falls short of its promise of being smokeless. The smoke produced during cooking can be significant and may require additional precautions and ventilation measures to avoid triggering smoke alarms and filling the kitchen with smoke. While the grilling experience remains enjoyable, it is crucial to set realistic expectations regarding the smoke output when considering the Redigrill for indoor use.
Kinda disappointed

I LOVE to grill, but living in an apartment means being subjected to fire codes. I refuse to oven-bake meats. A friend suggested I get this grill instead so I gave it a shot. Probably only pros are: -Easy to clean. The grill and bottom tray are dishwasher safe and can also just be handwashed. -The grill is non-stick so as long as you clean it, no worries about food sticking. -Virtually no smoke. There WILL be smoke, just nowhere near as pungent and strong as from a regular grill. There are quite a few technical issues with it: 1. The IR light is so strong, you'll have to wear sunglasses or look at it from another angle. 2. It's kinda small so you'll have to cook in batches. 3. It's very energy inefficient. Because it's not covered from the top, the heat escapes so you're only cooking one side at a time while the top is not cooked by residual heat circling as it would in any other kind of grill. This also means you need to leave a LONG time reaching searing temperatures before you can use it and it's doubtful it'll get to the temperature it needs, especially if you have AC running. I've used it only a couple of times and getting ready to sell it or give it away. I'd rather go through the lengthy process of sous-vide then sear on a cast-iron pan, which gives me a proper cut of meat. Perhaps I'm spoiled with grills, but this is definitely not a suitable replacement by any means; only if it's an apartment where there are no community grills and you don't really care about texture.
