Very nice BP Monitor
By R. Hornung on Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2025
I have been using the BM55 for about 6 years - the cuff wore out and it was easy to get a new one from Buerer. The older model was able to transfer the results to my computer but it was quite cumbersome. I decided to order the newest version to have a second monitor. The new model does connect to the computer which, as I mentioned, was not very efficient and I never referred to that old information anyway. The 60 reading rolling memory is more than enough. I also like the fact that this monitor can save info for two users. My administrative assistant likes to keep track of her BP as well. The BM55 has also been quite consistent. It never made sense to me that one's BP could be so variable even when taken within minutes apart. The consistency assures me that it is likely quite accurate. The arrhythmia indicator is wonderful as I fight afib and, though I do not have dramatic symptoms, it is great to know if it is present or not. There is no learning curve to this machine except to learn how to access previous readings in the memory. The quality is exceptional for the price. I use the included carrying case regularly for vacations and travel.

Buyer beware: Not a 5 star machine. Complicated, unable to get it to work properly

Very disappointed in this product. I bought due to lots of 5 star ratings. I did research on many types of BP machines. It is not easy use nor accurate. I have tried many, many times to set date. It has a hard time knowing I want to set date, even after holding home button down for 5 seconds. It will constantly start pumping up to do pressure. NERVE WRACKING! 1. The month will not go to todays date - 11/16. It only goes to 12 then goes back around to 1,2, etc.. The instructions suck big time. I had to go to U tube to figure it out. Manual is worthless. Especially telling us how to set it. 2. Batteries. I put in 3 sets of batteries, all brand new, all different brands. It still shows one mark on battery power. Never ever gets full. Is this draining battery it by using 2/3 times, does it manufacturer flaw, is the icon incorrect and it's really full? 3. Readings are not accurate! This is why I bought it because my old one was jumping all over the place. This one I do not trust!! No way is one reading off by 30 points, next reading off by 25, next reading off by 30 again. 4. Cuff works good for my small arm. Feet are on floor, not bent/curved/crossed but the seating icon keeps showing I'm not seating properly. YES I AM! I will probably be returning and going back to Omron. I don't trust it, it's far from accurate. Only thing I like is the large, bright numbers. Would I recommend others to buy - NO. Way too many cons, with only 1 pro.
