Perfect install on Chevrolet Bolt EUV with Garmin Mini 2 Dashcam

Very elegant solution for adding a dashcam without having to run and hide long wires. On my Chevy Bolt EUV I just plugged the red prong into the slot with the existing purple wire. And the black prong with the existing black wire. Worked best to plug in the prong above the existing wire. I also bought a right-angle USB extension cord to go along with this so that I'd have a little extra room to work with and a nice right-angle fit on the USB from the camera.

Couldn't get it to work with Garmin Mini

Originally chose this over the official Garmin hardwire kit because it's a nice short cable and I was tapping my rearview mirror for power. When I got it, it would not work. I probed the wires, double checked and triple checked, but it just would not supply power. I thought maybe it was just the Garmin being fickle so I plugged in random old phones amd whatnot, no power whatsoever. Today I installed the official Garmin hardwire kit, tapping the EXACT SAME wires and it works perfectly. Maybe I got a defective unit, which overall wouldn't surprise me as the device itself looks pretty haphazardly put together. At only $5 cheaper, just buy the Garmin kit and be done with it.
