Logitech MK540 Wireless Combo (Open Box)

To begin with, I only wanted a wireless keyboard, I already had a Logitech trackball mouse but the only way get the keyboard was in a keyboard/mouse bundle. So I had to figure out how to delete the mouse and add, or unitize, the trackball. Logitech gives you very little guidance except to download their software to make modification. Got that figured out but the software never did recognize the trackball. The keyboard and mouse was depicted on the screen but not the trackball. Disappointing. This K540 wireless keyboard has a lot of features but is not a good fit for the general user. Out of the box you expect an item to work like a generic piece of equipment and the added features should be activated by the user with the appropriate software and guidance. This keyboard requires the user to either download the Logitech software or modify the system BIOS in order to operate as a generic keyboard. The Function keys do not operate as normal function keys UNTIL you download and decipher the Logi Options+ software. Not a good thing. Plus, the software is not compatible with Mozilla Firefox browsers. You must download Google Chrome or use the Microsoft Edge browser. Logitech missed the mark with this product.
