They're batteries. I have had the best luck with energizers for their durability, and these were a good price.

They just gave me a month of grief
By West Texas on Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2020
It’s a good battery. I’ve used them for years. I’ve got C, D, AA, AAA and the rectangular 9v stored so when I need one I have one. I’ve got a story to tell so you’ll see where three stars came from. When my new bed with the raise and lower head and feet features showed up I used the Energizer Max batteries in the wireless remote other than the unknown (to me) brand that came with the bed. In less than a day the bed no longer responded to the remote. I tried everything possible, including switching batteries several times, but the bed was dead. The company sent me a new control box for the bed. This worked for about ten minutes. Then the remote control completely died. Would no longer even light up. I suggested the bed manufacturer send me a new remote, but they sent me a new bed instead. I used the new remote that came with that bed on the old bed and it worked for about five minutes. Then that second remote started acting weird. The bed was hesitant to respond to the remotes commands. The remote has a little flashlight feature and when pressed that light flickered.I immediately pulled the Energizer Max batteries out of the remote. I reset the bed and put the generic batteries into the remote. Everything worked and it’s kept working. In other words. The Energizer Max AAA batteries killed the first remote and tried to kill the second one. I saved it while it was in it’s death throws and it recovered. (The old remote still won’t work with any battery.)I don’t know what it is about the Energizer Max. I have them in use all over the house. This is the first time they killed anything. There is clearly something about this one remote control that it can’t tolerate Energizer Max batteries. I tested all the batteries with a volt meter and the generic batteries actually had were at 1.6 volts and change while the Energizers were 1.5 volts and change. You would think it would have been the other way around.Well, after a month of grief fighting this issue with my bed and remote, I’m done with Energizer Max. Who knows when they will strike again or what they will go after next. It just occurred to me that the remote for my TV has these same batteries in it. The remote has never died, but often the TV is hesitant to respond to commands – just like the bed was hesitant with that second remote. Time to pull those out. I’m going with PKCELL batteries for now. Placing order. Order Confirmed. Delivery in two days.So just be careful with these batteries. If whatever you put them in is acting weird then try a different brand and see if there is a difference. If something stops working, but you know the batteries are good, you may have fallen victim to the serial killer known as Energizer Max.
