Great device, if you need it
By Haon the Great on Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2018
The question you need to ask yourself with wireless charging is simple: Do I need it enough to spend $40 on it? For us, the answer was yes. To start, we are constantly using our phones for non-phone things: notably for us, changing music and looking up recipes. Being able to pick up the phone and move around with it, then set it back down to keep charging, is a nice convenience. Second, it frees up loose cords. The first thing we looked for when buying a house was a quality kitchen. We are in there all the time. That means our phones are, too. After having cords draped across counters for a year, we decided enough was enough. This device sits comfortably tucked back on the in the corner of the countertop, out of the way and self-contained. When we put our phone on it, it too is self-contained and not laying in cookie dough. After we decided we needed a wireless charger, Samsung was really the only way to go. We knew we would get quality, and it doesn't disappoint. It is sturdy, compact, and looks slick. It charges well, albeit slower than via cord. I would estimate the fast-charge on my Note 5 is about 75% of the speed of cord charge, which is on par with what the experts say is normal for wireless charging. We are more than happy with the device. Just remember: if you don't need it, this won't change the way you think about charging.

Is my S9 charging??
By L Lee Parmeter on Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2019
The charging area for my S9 is very narrow. You have to "fiddle" with the phone to have it exactly in the right place for charging. Then the red light comes on flashing--that means one of two things--the phone is either charging or it's not charging. Then the red light stay on--charging or not? The green light comes on, what the heck, you would think the phone would be at 100%--not so--the phone hasn't been charging at all even though the phone note say I have interrrupted the charging whn I remove the phone and press OK. The charger has ZERO moving parts with a small ledge to insure the phone doesn't slip on the floor. You would think it would be very user friendly but it's not. The bottom line, it's a hit or miss charge when you simply place your phone on this wireless charging stand. Someone in China hasn't done a very good job of designing a good wireless charger. BTW just what is a Qi certified phone? Can't find the reference anyplace. Oh, I forgot--it comes in a well designed and pretty packing box. Good luck folks--I'm going back to my $8.00 flat lay down charger and I tossed this one in the bottom drawer of my desk. . At least the flat one flashes red when it's not working and this one isn't working because it's unplugged.. Good luck L Lee Parmeter Biloxi, MS.
