Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 6100, Navy

I have had multiple Sonicare toothbrushes over the years. I normally buy the 9000 series, but I am tired of paying over $200 for a toothbrush and they all seem to break just after the warranty. The break that I am referring to is the dreaded high noise, loud vibration and loose head that these brushes from Sonicare ALL consistently develop. The crazy thing is that it is a simple issue that only involves a single screw within the brush handle that works it way loose over time, just from normal use. This allows the stem to move around and make the vibration noise and makes the toothbrush head very wobbly. One would think that the manufacturer would put some Loctite on that one single point of failure and it would make for many happy customers. As it is, I really love the way the brushes operate, so I continue with this brand but decided to buy a lesser brush at half my normal expenditure. I have noted that this one is not as strong as my old 9500 series, but of course, being new, it is super quiet. I am largely disappointed in the fact that the travel case is the absolute cheapest thin plastic and straight out of the box, the latch doesn't work. The QA process for Sonicare has really gone down over the years and I really have to review my life choices as it pertains to toothbrushes in the future...and I don't say that lightly as a person who has ONLY used high end Sonicare brushes for more than 15 years.
