Works perfectly

I needed this for the waste water drain of an R/O filter I just installed. My drain plumbing was not compatible with the adapter provided with the filter. Its very easy to install, I inserted the longer end into the dishwasher drain hose until it stopped and then cut off the extra, smaller adapter parts. Sawing those parts of was easy using a hacksaw and following the guides in the piece, ended up with a very squared off end, still had to de-burr it, though not necessary for a filter drain.

Did not solve my noisy RO system problem

This product is well made and comes with everything to install it, and the instructions are clear. However, it did not solve my problem, which is that the waste water drain is noisy. As you can see from the attached picture, my drain was originally on the left side of the sink, and the water has a long way to fall down into the trap, so you could hear it clearly through the sink opening. Moving it to right and piping it through the disposal does lesson the noise, ...slightly, but you can still hear it, now through the other side of the sink. I removed the drain line adapter after about a month. I'm outside my window to return it, otherwise I would send it back.
