Good for refurbished
By Jeremy M. on Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2023
Okay I ordered from Tech Warehouse. I would say know what you are getting. When ordering refurbished I try to read the company reviews first. I don’t like ordering from companies with less than 1000 reviews and a score of lower than 80%. Tech Warehouse met those standards even if I paid more for the product. Now for the product itself. I ordered a second generation iPad. It is much older and slower than most of the other iPads you can buy, but I need a bigger screen. I run a RPG group and most of my players use tablets/phones to track characters on. My sister has to print her sheets to see them because of her vision. I let her use my iPad with the 10’ screen and she just wanted something bigger. I ordered this to help her and to get a bigger screen for reading sheet music on. This iPad does those two things wonderfully.Down side is it lags with non-document reading programs. I am not shocked. When this was new it was the powerhouse of the iPads maybe not in storage, but in speed. Like most devices technology improves and by comparison it slows down. I own two other iPads a Gen 6 iPad and a Gen 4 iPad. It runs the same as the generation 6 with more memory. It however is slow and has problems processing compared to my iPhone 13. That being said it is still a great machine. Just not the first draft pick if you need it for anything other than document reading and watching videos. It draws fine with procreate and it plays board game apps fine, but it is still old. Also note as of December 2023 it still updates to the latest operating system 17. Just note the first generation doesn’t update past 16, so the writing might be on the wall for this on for updates. That might limit what apps it will run in the future. My iPad 4 stopped updating at 10, so half of my apps don’t run on it. The problem with development and planned obsolescence I guess. If you are buying this for school and have the money for a generation, or two younger I would think about getting those instead for the speed and updates. If this is in your price range know it is refurbished, so like new, but not new. It will run everything you most likely need it for, but don’t be shocked if it lags in the middle of note taking, so get a good audio recording app for your phone. To end the review it is a 2nd generation iPad. It updates to IOS 17 and will run most apps. The processing speed is not great and will lag with some input, but if you give it a second it will do what you want. I have not had it crash an app yet, but will not be shocked if it does. For running characters sheet apps and taking notes at an rpg table it does everything it needs to for me. I like the screen and the way it looks compared to my regular iPad gen 6. If I ever get the cash then I would definitely buy a 12.9 pro iPad new, but for now this second generation version does everything I want it to do.

BuySPrY - Unreliable, Dishonest and Better Business Bureau rating of B
By Maximo B. on Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2020
First warning I ignored: (Renewed) what exactly does renewed mean? Common terminology related to technology used is refurbished, however using the work “Renewed”, tells the consumer the product is like new. I fell for the old Marketing play on words, shame on me, please do not let it be shame on you. I am as shocked as you reading this review considering the number of positive reviews noted, which I question it creditability considering the fact that the company BuySpry , NOT Amazon warehouse or any department of Amazon, but a 3rd party vendor, BuySpry, has a better business rating of B, supporting my comment regarding the creditability of the positive feedback. Please take 2 minutes and go on the BBB site and read the submitted complaints, tons of them. I am a man that believes in giving praise more than give negative feedback, however, I am taking this opportunity to only forewarn my fellow brothers and sisters to truly take your time and research any product you purchase from Buyspry first. It is the right of the consumer to request from the buyer as to what kind of work was done on the Ipads prior to buying it, for them to explain how they made the used Ipad “Renewed”. Hold them accountable to be transparent with you and verify what they tell you is true.I had purchased an IPad Pro 12.9 2nd Gen 25Apple iPad Pro 2nd 12.9 ,256GB, Grey (Renewed with Wi-Fi 2017 Model: DLXWD4UKHND6 from Amazon “BuySpry” and as always they took my payment immediately and shipped the Ipad to me within 2-3 days. I cannot tell you how stoked I was, bought an Ipad case and screen protector for my ipad, only for the ipad to stop responding to my touch within 3 days of owning it. I tried everything not to believe it was defective, thus my 3 to 4 hard reboots and still the ipad was not working as what I would believe to be a “Renewed” ipad. Instead of returning the Ipad I requested to have it replace , as I know how technology can be funny sometimes and it’s life, things happen, but that is when the devil showed his true face. When I requested the replacement Ipad, I was told by BuySPry they do not have an Ipad to replace my model with, yet I was looking at about 5 ipads sold by them exactly the same as my Ipad. When I pointed this out to them, they had the gull to tell me that what is listed on Amazon is from their other inventory and in order to replace my Ipad, they would need to replace it from their “replacement Inventory”… …… I know! Could not believe the poo that I was being told. It was not the fact that they do not replace Ipads, which they could have told me, instead they had to offend my intellect and lie to me, at which I cleaned my hands of the noise and returned the Ipad. . This is the other warning everyone…. Listen carefully, When I printed the return label and dropped it off at UPS, for some reason they opt to ship back the ipad so slow that it would have taken 7 days just to arrive to BuySpry, who then would process the return which could take another 2-3 business days, 10 days to get my money back… Wasn’t having it and escalated respectfully. This company that sells “Renewed “ Ipads wants us to trust them without inspecting the Ipad they are selling and give them our hard earn cash, only to hold on to our money for dear life until they feel they want to return you their cash. I was shipped what they coined a “Renewed” Ipad , I shipped back to them an expensive piece of garbage, thus I question the ethics of them taking so long to return the buyers money. Please do your homework and question them to the fullest prior to buying anything from them.I strongly advise that Amazon do a better job vetting their Third-Party Vendors, who feeds on such a respected and reputable company as Amazon
