Electric Texas BBQ!!

I never review anything but, I love this electric smoker!! Have smoked pork butt, pork tender loin, chicken, sausage, ribs, brisket, bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers so far. Literally have people telling me I should open a restaurant. Lol!! Seriously, some of the best bbq I've ever tasted, and I'm a novice at this. That's how easy this smoker is to use. Bluetooth function is just an added privilege and another app to play with on the phone. The power button is the only button I have used on the smoker itself, everthing else is controlled through the app on the phone. I've had zero issues with this smoker (knock on wood). I did a lot of research, and I mean A LOT, before making this purchase, so far it definitely looks like the right choice. At this point I highly recommend this one if you are shopping for an electric smoker.

Great smoker with HORRIBLE Bluetooth Functionality...

A family member recently bought a non-bluetooth Masterbuild smoker and made the most amazing smoked turkey this Thanksgiving. The unit was easy to build and use. Of course I jumped on Amazon and purchased one the next day. Being a techie I opted for the bluetooth version. What a MISTAKE. After assembly I downloaded the Masterbuilt app and powered up the unit. I paired it no problem and registered the unit. I then set the temperature and time in order to pre-season it. That's the last time this app functioned properly. The app crashed once I navigated to the recipe section. So I re-installed and had to go through the whole registration process again. Then it crashed for the second time. Went through the re-install process a few more times. Crash, crash, crash. What a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Why would a company with a great reputation for building solid smokers not invest in development of a proper app? This is a major feature of the unit and it only works with the app. Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews in the app store before I made this purchase. I want my money back!
