This headset is pretty impressive. They are fairly comfortable to me - could be better if the pads were larger but that's subjective and depends on your particular head and ears. Performance is excellent. They are capable of playing audio very loud. The receiver is great and I can walk outside of my apartment to my porch at the back of my apartment and have a conversation from my PC which is in my bedroom! The microphone provides good sound and noise cancelling. Audio from the mic is clear, not muffled or muddy sounding, and adequately loud. The quality of the sound is quite good. They are not audiophile quality in sound (headsets like that cost much more), but definite far above the "cheap" sounding headphones I have tried. These DO NOT have boomy, boxy, watery, or tinny sound. The sound is rich and full. I have used them to listen to music and to chat and in both circumstances they quite good. The battery life is AMAZING. I can charge them and use them for chat for an exceptionally long time. I am very satisfied with this headset. They are worth the money. You will not get this kind of performance, either with a mic or sound, from headsets that cost $50 or less. They are priced fairly considering their excellent performance and extreme battery life, and may actually be worth much more. Kingston has done it again - they have made yet another great quality computer peripheral.

Overall a decent headset, but there are several things I would change if I could...
By Ryan Matzke on Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2019
I have had this headset for around 9 months now. Previously I had the HyperX Cloud 2 headset and it was the most comfortable headset I have ever owned. Personally I don't feel that this headset is quite as comfortable as the Cloud 2, but that could just be personal preference. I can still wear these all day without any issue. And now that I have switched to a wireless headset, I will never go back. I love being able to leave my desk and keep my headset on. The range on this headset is great. I can go almost anywhere in my house and still use it. The battery life is pretty good, but I certainly don't get 30 hours of use with it, even with the lights disabled. In my experience the most I can get on a full charge is around 14-16 hours, which is plenty for me since I charge it nightly anyway. I also really like the look of the headset. Frankly I like the look of almost everything made by HyperX. Now for the issues I have with this headset. My first complaint is that there is no option to set a default mode for the LED lights. Every time the headset is turned on, the lights are turned on automatically. Sure the lights look cool, but since I can't see them anyway I have no reason to use them. I prefer to turn them off and save on battery life. I realize it only takes two button presses to disable the lights, but I sometimes forget to turn them off and only realize they have been on when the low battery beep goes off. I wish there was an option so that I could have the lights turned off as the default mode. Another issue I have with this headset is with the notification beeps. There is very little difference between the "muted" and "unmuted" beeps. This makes it hard for me to figure out if my microphone is muted or not when I walk away from my PC. I have a cheap bluetooth headset and there is a voice that actually says "muted" and "unmuted" when toggling the microphone. I have also seen headsets where the microphone has an LED light to give a visual indicator for whether or not the microphone is muted. Either of these options would be much better than the beeps in my opinion. There are also 2 or 3 "low battery" beeps, and I can never remember how many beeps represent what percentage of battery is remaining. The final thing I will mention may be an issue on my end, so I have not considered this as a factor in my review score, but wanted to mention it because I'm curious if others have had the issue. Whenever I first turn on my headset, the microphone volume gets reset to 10%. I have to turn the microphone up to 100% in order for my voice to be picked up. Then the microphone sometimes gets reset back to 10% in the middle of use. I can't see any pattern in what causes the reset. I've tried various different settings on Windows and VOIP apps and still no luck. At this point I am in the habit of manually changing the microphone settings every time I turn on my headset. Overall I still think this is a good headset, but there is definitely room for several usability improvements. Although this is not a glowing review, I still think HyperX is a company that makes great products, and I will continue to keep an eye out for a new version of this headset. Hopefully a newer version will address some of the issues I have with this one.
