Top tip: use with ethernet if you can help it. Even with a new Synology router capable of over 500Mbps over wifi, making sure the wifi channel is not crowded, close to the router with no obstructions and a 1gigabit connection, the wifi video quality is not great; on the same network. Switching to ethernet was night and day, as I could tell whether it was night or day when viewing the video. It detects the difference between some thing moving and some person moving which is great. It alerted me when a person was in my apartment which was my sup replacing the refrigerator, and another time it detected motion which turned out to be my lamp falling over. Glad I saved a few bucks buying refurbished as well. Couldn't be happier

This product was suppose to help with security, but the app would not open and continuously closed. It would not connect remotely. I will not purchase
