Excellent customer Service!

I used a groupon for 2 of the previous models of Bob in October, 2015. Both were the pet hair version. One for my parents, and one for me. Bob stopped working after only a few weeks for my parents. Needless to say, I just got around to visiting them last month March 2017. While I was there they told me bob stopped working shortly after they got him. (I was like why didn’t you tell me? My step-mom replies, “Your father didn’t want to bother you.” What? Anyway, that’s a different conversation for a different time, sometimes parents can be weird about electronics and if it has a problem or needs an upgrade or needs to be fixed you know what I mean, it can register as “permanently broken” for them and they just leave it, if your car broke wouldn’t you fix it? Anyway…rant, sorry.) So they told me bob doesn’t work, so I first read the manual then I took bob apart to see if something was stuck in the wheels. I wasn’t able to see anything. I called groupon, who gave me the number for bob sweep. I was on the phone with a representative shortly after I called, and he spent like 20+ minutes problem shooting and trying a few more tricks to restart bobs system. It was late in the day and he said someone would get in touch with me tomorrow. AND THEY DID! Like 8am, I had a message in my inbox from a representative, letting me know THEY WOULD SEND ME A BRAND-NEW REPLACEMENT of the same model, for 40$(shipping cost)! Or a new set of wheels with the motor for 20$ or I could upgrade to the latest version, (the digital pet hair PLUS model) (the one with a digital screen and the laser block to set room boundaries for 120$ (80$+40$ for shipping). The newest pet hair plus model is kind of pricey, and they kept in touch with me like daily, to make sure my needs were met, mind you I purchased this October 2015 with a limited 1 year warranty and they were offering me a seriously great deal for it being out of warranty and the fact that I bought it off groupon for like half price in the first place. Anyway, I decided to go for the plus model upgrade for my parents. They said I could purchase it off amazon and they would PayPal me the difference so my total cost would be $120.00 including shipping, I was a little leary at first, but their customer service was just ridiculous, RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. The person I was speaking with was Carlo Dayao a customer support supervisor. Seriously, I feel like I would purchase another model for my brother just because their customer service was so integral. Anyway, I just felt like they totally went out of their way, from the first phone call and the guy spending over 20 minutes with me problem shooting till after my parents received the new model and sent the old bob back WITH A PREPAID LABEL. So, I did end up purchasing it off amazon for the amazon price and they pay paled me the difference that day.(So my total cost was 120$). They even followed up with me like two weeks after to see how bob was doing. Well after I taught my parents how to use the new digital bob(not hard btw, just read the manual), and it really is a cinch, (like an apple product easy) to sync and set up. All and all, I was taken back by their customer oriented service. The new Plus model is also a lot better than the previous pet hair model. The digital model has a longer battery life, stronger vacuum, all digital screen, more colors and a block that you can set as a parameter and bob won’t go past the invisible laser it omits, (like for stairs, etc). I would totally buy this over an Irobot for the advanced features in the new bob pet hair plus model as well as the laser block and sucking power of vacuum. My floors are spick and span, and all I do is push a button, lol. Seriously don’t know how I did it before, I don’t have time to vacuum my floors and carpet every day. The models also have a mop attachment, I haven’t ever used mine, I just Swiffer on occasion. But seriously, it’s a great purchase an automatic floor vacuum, makes life that much easier and this company happens to have steller customer service so you know if something goes wrong they have your back.

Six Months of Owning a Robot Vacuum: A Tale of Disappointment
By AJB on Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2018
After owning this bObsweep Pet Hair Plus Robotic Vacuum and "Mop" for almost six months, I find myself disappointed enough in the entire concept of robotic vacuums to write this disillusioned review. Bob is not, nor has he even been, a very effective replacement for manual vacuuming and does not actually mop at all (the attachment for the bottom is basically a wettable swiffer pad...). I have given him a chance almost weekly since July and inevitably end up having to sweep, vacuum and mop myself after the battery dies or it misses half of the one ~500sqft floor on which it is used. This is a hardwood floor and a house with one dog and two adults. Without any sort of mapping program, the algorithm that drives Bob's motion seems to be fundamentally flawed - in tests in a clean empty room (devoid of furniture), he will still miss multiple large areas - mind you different areas each time. This means that it is useless to hope that hitting "Go" on the remote will result in a clean floor as he may miss half of it overall. The only effective way to clean all areas of a room is by driving him manually with the remote control. This is a pretty useless feature since he is slower, less powerful, and has a much smaller waste canister than a regular vacuum from your nearest big box store. These issues are aside from the fact that there are plenty of times where Bob will just drag things around instead of picking them up. If he eventually got everything clean than it would be easier to overlook some inefficiencies in his movements (the manual/video even glibly warn you that the movements may seem random but that you'll "be amazed" or some such similar nonsense). But he doesn't, he'll pick up some dust and pet hair sure and seems to be pretty good at lifting flour to sand sized particles but anything much larger is beyond the suction power of the machine and the capacity of the container. To top it all off, while the collision sensors work OK (on white baseboards - if you have dark furniture be warned it WILL be banging into it over and over again), by not retaining any information at all you end up with a robot that gets stuck trying to make the same mistake over and over again. It can't really deal with round objects and will confuse dark spots on rugs for height changes and then get stuck in a loop trying to extract itself from the situation. All in all, mapless robot vacuums like this bObsweep seem to be total gimmicks - it takes half (or less) the time to vacuum, sweep, and mop by hand than it does to supervise and clean up after the robot. I would not buy one again unless the technology changes significantly and cannot recommend this one to anyone.
