Stubborn long double coat fur eliminator
By Stephanie Bauer on Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2024
This is by far the best comb I've used on my wooly husky's fur! Wooly huskies are long haired huskies whose shedding hair sticks to their bodies instead of releasing. He gets matted between regular grooming and I've tried so many other combs, brushes, and detangling sprays on the market. This comb eliminated mats like butter and helps release all of his shed before it can become an issue. With other brushes I'd spend 2 hours on an area and would not come near to what this comb did in under 30 minutes. This is by far the most effective brush I've used on my boy. It's comfortable for both me and my boy. I was unsure about the finger rest but it's surprisingly comfy. He's happier and that makes me happy! Definitely recommend this brush for those pet parents who struggle finding a brush that works for their pups.

Good for minor mats with regular grooming, not great for tough matting
By SVD on Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2025
For context I have a 50lb goldendoodle that is 75% poodle. Her hair is very curly like a poodles. I brush her out regularly because I like to keep her coat long. This requires using a slicker to line brush and metal comb to verify no tangles. If there are any tangles, a dematting tool like this is effective at breaking thru.My complaints with this tool, is that the teeth are not on very tight. They shift around and it results in a jagged alignment of the teeth rather than the nice smooth side. This is generally not great for a dematting tool, because they tend to be very sharp on the serrated side (for getting thru the mats). However, on this tool, the serrated side is a VERY dull blade. I am not sure such a dull blade will be that great for getting out tough mats. It's fine for me and my dog, because I brush her out regularly and she never has tough mats to deal with. Typically I only see small mats that form in the problematic areas and this comb is able to get those out effectively. So TLDR - this is a decent de matting comb for small mats and good if you're already regularly grooming the dog. Also, the dull blade makes risk of accidentally cutting your dog minimal to none. BUT, if you have a tightly matted dog due to neglect and expect this tool to be great for those, I think you'd be disappointed.
