Quality PSU.

Bought this to power an RTX 3080 as I have things like an external DAC that, when combined, would probably push my old 600W to its limit. This PSU has been great so far -- no complaints. Power supplies are expensive these days, and this was an affordable (relatively) 80+ GOLD unit that works like a charm. Note that there's a pretty ugly yellow label that will show if you mount it upside down in a case with no PSU shroud (or one with holes), and that it makes a "click" sound during shutoff. Not a big deal for me and neither of them affect performance, but might be annoying for some.

Total lack of support from Antec

In May of 2019, I purchased this Antec Earthwatts Gold Pro Series EA550G Pro 550W Semi-Modular, 80 Plus Gold partly because it has a 7 year warranty. However, words do not trump action. This unit failed on October 23, 2020. So, I went to the Antec support page, filled out the necessary form to receive a refund or replacement. That was six days ago. No response, no acknowledgement, no we would be glad to be of help. If you look at Amazon comments regarding this product, or any Antec product you'll notice the no responses from Antec. I find it a poor business practice that Amazon represents and promotes Antec products as Antec misrepresents their products with warranties that are just words and no actions. As a result, I'll be ending any business with Antec and Amazon who obviously cares more about Antec than we the customers who have built their business. Sincerely. Update: November 7, 2020. 14 days and not a peep from Antec. Update: December 20, 2020. Still no word from Antec to honor their 7 Warranty. Update: January 27, 2021. Still no word from Antec support. They are defrauding their customers by not honoring the warranty. DO BUY ANYTHING FROM ANTEC. Update: April 19, 2021. Still no relief or response from ANTEC. ANTEC is a fraud. The warranty is a fraud. Amazon should ban selling their products. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANTEC! It's January 2023. No response from Amazon nor Antec regarding the failed power supply barely out of the box. Antec Ticket number: 116122 Where's my refund? Where's my replacement?
