Great value
By Ronnie on Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2017
Very good quality. No complaints or ideas to change it. The portability is great. Even the stakes had their own slim sack for storage within the larger sack. The tarp easily folds back up into its storage sack with everything fitting nicely. The lines are all independently adjustable with small clasps. The main rope is attached to the material, so you don't have to try to center the tarp. There are tiny double opening carabiners on the main line to loop around the trees. No fussing with knots anywhere. The rain fly is a quieter material than others. It definitely doesn't make that crinkle noise of cheap blue tarp material. The shape completely covered my hammock, with some room to spare, so no water would drop down into my hammock. I pulled mine lower over my hammock on a cooler night and it doubled as a form of insulation, keeping some of my own heat nearby. It's subjective, but I really like the blue and green options. Both colors look great in person and compliment my hammocks' colors. Edit/ update: On my third use, I had heavy rain that saturated the cord. With the extra weight, the s carabiner broke. I contacted the company about the warranty. They sent out a replacement and advised they are looking into improving the next batches. Great customer service and follow up

great for overhead cover

Love the color. Not trying to disappear like with camo tarps. It is light weight and easily converts to different setups. however I have changed the hardware supplied with the tent for my personal likes. Stakes are metal a big plus and light weight.

Great rain fly, cheap carabiners

Great rain fly/shelter. Really easy set up. My only problem is that one of the ridgeline carabiners broke on my second use. I was able to rig something up but it was disappointing.
A real time saver...

I am so impressed with how easy this tarp is to setup and take down. I can have my hammock and Serac tarp setup before my fellow backpackers have their tents rolled out. I was surprised at how sturdy this tarp was in the wind as well. There was no flapping noise and none of the guy lines loosened. I do agree that the stock carabiners seem chintzy, but they have not broken or failed yet. I am happy that I chose this tarp overall. My only complaint is that it is a little bit heavy, but I think it is worth it for the quality and coverage. I would not be worried if I was under this in a rainstorm. I am happy with my purchase and look forward to more trips.
easy to use

This is a well-made, easy to use, versatile rain fly. It provides shelter from both rain (no leaks) and sun while hanging out in your hammock. For me, I've needed the extra shade this summer. But it is big enough to also be used as a shelter for camp chairs, picnic table, gear... A great addition to my camp setup

Great rain tarp - works as a sunshade too!

This rain tarp works great! I actually used it more as a sunshade since it doesn't rain too much in California. I chose this tarp particularly bc I was looking for a tarp that wasn't too pricy. I was also pleased with these stakes as they were dull enough to not threaten the rain tarp, but sharp enough to shove into the dirt. this purchase completed my hammock setup which I've been accumulating over the years so I'm pretty happy that I've got what I need for all outdoor conditions :))

Large enough, but tie out points could be better
Great Rain Fly

The rain fly works as expected and appears well made. It seems a little heavy but most of them are. I have doubt that I'll be using this for years with my Kammock Roo Double.

Pretty neat. I took this down to southern Utah and it was great. Easily covers my double hammock and the quick pull tensioners are really nice. No clue on durability yet because I haven't gotten to take it out much but no quality issues I could see.

I love the brand serac they make very high quality and affordable camping products that are comparable to brands like ENO and cost half the price and comes with a nice warranty.
