Zmodo Greet Smart HD Video Doorbell w/ Chime

If you are looking for a wired video doorbell, but do not have existing wiring, this product will save you some hassle. Fairly simple installation since you don’t need to cut your walls open, or rely on battery power that wouldn’t last on video doorbell.Here are my observations for the past few days.Positives:- Video call works well and quick when someone is ringing- Connection to live cam is quick (if you have good internet connection)- Hardware is well made- 12 hour history of alert clips does not require cloud subscriptionNegatives:- No HDR (expect dark faces). Overall, video quality is not impressive but sufficient.- Power cord is way too short unless you have power outlet less than 5 feet away from your installation spot- No way to customize motion alerts without cloud subscription.- Support - long time to get through support. I was able to get through only on the third try. When requested a USB cord (power) extension, I received a two-letter reply – No (Don’t expect <hi>, <sorry>, <have a nice day>, or other “useless” words in their support lexicon)Despite the negatives, I’m looking to keep the product since I found no other options to install wired video doorbell without cutting the walls opened. I’ll update my review if I discover any reliability issues.
