Sleep Aid Cushion Travel Pillow - Black

I purchased this product to prevent my jaw from dropping during sleep, which was causing leakage with my sleep apnea face mask. It is working quite well for this purpose. The covering is very soft and comfortable. It is easy to adjust and put on/take off. It does not have to be very tight against your throat to work as it only needs to support your chin. I folded a washcloth and placed it between the cushion and my chest to raise it up a little bit more and get the perfect spacing. I noticed a previous reviewer commented that the stitching was coming loose. The one I got is very well made in every way. Highly recommend! edit later: I would like to add that a review got me an additional cushion which was shipped promptly at no added cost. After a month of use, it still looks brand new. Good communication and good value puts this company at the top. Do not hesitate to do business with them.

I have sleep apnea and this will help with keeping my mouth shut when I sleep as my cpap doesn't keep my mouth shut. Very helpful with my machine. Don't know if I would use it by itself but I will try it.

After I have purchased this item at least four times. It is the only neck pillow that will help keep my mouth closed while using my CPAP. The quality of the pillow is lacking. The Velcro tears away from the pillow usually within the first week or so of use. I'm very careful not to tighten the strap too tight but it will still tear. The material, while soft and comfortable is too thin. A thicker more durable material would give this cushion a longer life. Also a thicker and wider elastic strap would also be more effective. While I will certainly by this again, I'm constantly looking for a better replacement.

I love this sleep cushion! I initially looked into sleep cushions a few years ago because I noticed that my jaw was dropping open and back when I relaxed on my back -- and that action would cause my throat to close, leading to apnea. I bought a different cushion at first (the Eliminator product wasn't available on Amazon at the time). It was much thinner and wrapped all the way around my neck. It worked pretty well, but I still sometimes had the apnea problem. When my old sleep cushion wore out, I went to look for it again, but it was no longer being sold. So I found the Eliminator Series Sleep Aid Cushion and decided to give it a try. I was concerned at first because it looked so big and bulky. But it's even better than my original cushion! Because it extends out from the neck to the chin, it does a better job of keeping my jaw closed. Also, it prevents my head from rolling to the side, which would sometimes cause a neck crick. And finally, it is more comfortable because it doesn't wrap all the way around the neck. The only drawback is that it is a little warm. However, it's less warm than the old one I had since it is open on the back and I think that's just the nature of a neck cushion. I don't think you can have any kind of cushion around your neck without some warmth. I am sleeping so much better with this cushion. Highly recommend if you have an issue with your jaw dropping open and back while you sleep.

The collar is a great collar, with one major problem. First, the good. The design is perfect to prevent chin tucking, which Is important for my CPAP therapy. The foam inside is just soft enough to be comfortable, but hard enough to prevent the chin ticking. The material around the foam is very soft and doesn’t make you feel hot around your neck. The collar is easy to put on and the strap around the back is stretchy , so as to not making you not feel like your being choked. Now the bad, which is a big killer for this collar. After only a few nights use, the material on the one side where the strap attaches is ripping. I have been very careful not to rip the Velcro apart when taking it off, as I knew this COULD be a problem, but it is still ripping. Should have just put two hooks on both sides instead of just the one side and just adjust it with the strap. The hook side seems more sturdy and won’t rip. I can come up with a fix for it, but why should I have to. It’s a great collar, but won’t be buying it again, unless the ripping problem is fixed.

I bought this for the sole purpose of hoping to keep my chin closed while i sleep to prevent the cpap mask for leaking air / moving during my sleep. The product itself is sturdy and comfy enough. Although I the Velcro tightening strap I'm not a big fan of, i feel like it could of been better designed. After days of putting this through some testing, it has helped me tremendously by keeping my jaw closed at night when wearing my full face mask (f30I). I used to wonder why air would slip out the side and realized it was because my jaw kept opening /moving. This has definitely solved that issue. It will take some getting adjusting to, sleeping with but i find it worth it. If i had to purchase again i would. Satisfied customer!

The shape is wrong for me. My chin still tucks into my chest while wearing it. I think the problem is that the cushion slants down too quickly so my chin is not supported.

I've used this type of neck support when sleeping with my CPAP for a number of years but needed to get a replacement and couldn't find the brand I had previously used. This one looked similar online so thought I'd give it a try. It is almost identical so I am very pleased. The neck strap, which is comfortable, is very generous and since I am a small woman I've had to cut it down a bit but that's not a negative - better too large than too small. The fabric is lovely and soft on the skin. I noticed many people complained about the Velcro tearing away from the fabric but I just slip my thumb between the two pieces and hold the edge attached to the fabric before removing the strap so there is no stress on the fabric - problem resolved. Since I never use the strap cover that is provided, I've cut it in half and now use it on the straps of my CPAP mask so no facial indentations in the morning - love it! I'm very satisfied with this purchase but one thing I wish is that the manufacturers of these types sleep supports would sell the covers separately as well so we could swap them out for washing. The other brand I used didn't do that either so I always have to buy a second one and toss the foam which is wasteful. Sorry to end the review on a little negative but maybe the manufacturer will take the HINT??

This pillow is perfect for sleep apnea to replace the chin strap. I hate the chin strap and this pillow works. The only issue I have is the fabric ripped. Need to use better fabric or s nd an extra cover. Reinforce the stitching with glue or something. It would have been five stars if not for that!!

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea six months ago. After quite a bit of frustration with the original trial machine not working well for me I found a sleep apnea board and learned as much as I could about my condition and how I might be my own advocate in the health care system. Now, six months later, I have a new CPAP machine which I’ve learned to “tune, over time” to a point where I’m sleeping better now than any time during the past several decades. A critical component of my therapy is the Eliminator Sleep Cushion. The Eliminator was instrumental in reducing the number of “events”, ensuring that I’d have a good nights sleep. It does this in two ways. Firstly, it keeps my chin from tucking which in turn keeps my airway open. Secondly, since my chin is resting against the upper surface of its cushion, my mouth stays closed which allows the CPAP machine to apply the proper pressure during the entire night. I no longer wake up several times with an extremely dry mouth. My AHI was registering about 20, when I started. The past few nights its been zero!
