One of the best things I love about my restroom!

I'd have to say that I'm really stoked on how great the Ello & Allo turned out to be. I couldn't believe at first that it was only around $200 with free shipping having prime and I'm in Hawaii. The main thing was that it was a direct replacement for a similar system I had before that was starting to rust out and having problems being able to set the temperature because it was so old. The whole thing was pretty much assembled already besides having to use a screw driver for a few screws and then cutting the tubes that it comes with for the waterfall and shower head. I decided to write this review about a month after receiving it as I wanted to make sure there were no hiccups or cheap knobs/parts that broke over a few usages. The temperature gauge and timer is so awesome along with the blue lights if you turn off all other lights while showering. Now I'm more self conscious of how long I'm taking and try to reduce the amount of time I'm showering to overall save on water/bill. Even if this thing only lasts a year or two years. I would gladly pay another 200 to get a whole new one. So far no major water spots have billed up, but I'll probably buy some type of Rainx or water spot prevention on the whole thing to preserve the nice look. All it takes on the wall is to drill on two brackets that hold the whole thing up. That might be the hardest thing along with Caulking. Overall 10+ I recommend!

They changed the design

I bought this last year and installed it in our guest bathroom and everyone loved it. So ordered the same one (or so I thought) when we were remodeling our kid's bathroom, but they changed the design and we didn't like it. Size - the old one was about 55 inches tall. The new one is only 48 inches. So the unit has to be mounted lower for the body spray to be at the right height, but then the shower head is just a couple of inches above your head. Features - in the old one you could use two features simultaneously, like shower and hand spray or body spray and water fall etc. The new one doesn't have that, only one water feature at a time. Even though they both look the same and have the same three knobs they work different. Build quality - the old one had very nice stainless steel finish and looks new to this day. The new one is noticeably lighter and the digital display minutes counter stopped working within a day of installing. And the surface of the unit had water stains in the 5-6 days we used it (while getting a replacement). The material quality has definitely gone down. We returned it.
