worth every penny

Broke my foot, but still wanted to snorkel while in Cabo. Bought this because of the battery life. I read the complaints about weight and difficulty to open the battery compartment, but they are not justified. less than 10 minutes of maintenance after each day of use - cleaning it in fresh water and taking out the battery to charge it - was a small price to pay for the fun it provided. My wife would carry this to the edge of the water, then I would use it to pull both of us to one beautiful snorkeling site after another. This thing is incredible! One day it pulled me well over 2 miles - yes, you read that correctly. I was way out in the sea of Cortez, and with a broken foot, you can be sure that I didn't want to get out there and not get back. Not a problem with this machine. This thing is designed for heavy use and long term reliability. I have nothing but good to say about it.

It's Junk; expensive, heavy, ill-designed Junk.

We're avid boaters regularly spending days on the hook enjoying sun, sand, and water. Bought this with the hope that the kids and I could use it to more easily explore nature underwater. Unfortunately it won't pull me, and barely pulls the kids. It's so bad that in first use I thought the battery must have not fully charged or something must be amiss. But after ensuring full charge and everything properly seated, and testing on multiple occasions I can undoubtedly tell you this is nothing but junk. Very disappointing for how expensive it is and how much tedious prep and breakdown labor is required each time you want to use it. Would have been willing to overlook how much space it consumes being stored on the boat, or the work to disassemble and reassemble everytime you use it (battery must be pulled out every single time to charge requiring you to break down the entire top half of the unit which must also occur everytime you finish using (in salt water) to rinse it) if it actually did what they claim it would. But it simply does not perform. If you can't resist the thought of wanting to feel like James Bond or a Navy Seal, effortlessly streaming underwater to your next mission, be forewarned - not going to happen with this piece of junk.
