Worth Every Penny If You're Working On Hip/Low Back Mobility
By swelu on Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2018
Yes this is expensive. Yes it is noisy. For just a general massage or muscle release it was excellent but I was hesitant to recommend it to friends because of the price. However, I just realized a way to use it that makes it worth every penny for me and others that are in yoga, cross-fit or gymnastics that are working on forward folds like pancake and pike and being able to put your hands flat on the floor in standing forward fold. Simply get to your deepest fold like you normally would, then notice where you're tight and put the TheraGun on that area until the muscle releases. Then continue to the next spot. The ergonomics of this thing are great to hold in one hand and provide pressure to various muscles even when upside-down like a forward fold. After 10 minutes I went from having a pancake with a rounded back to flat back with chest and belly on the floor! And it never hurt, the vibration stops the pain signal as it loosens the muscle safely.

Loudness outweighs any benefits!
By Alex on Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2018
I have experience using both the original model and the newer G2. I was hoping that some of the problems of the original would be addressed in the next generation, especially the loudness of the device. Unfortunately, the deafening sound is still there. Unlike other companies that are now producing vibration massage tools (like Hypervolt), the G2 very much feels as though impact screw guns were purchased at Home Depot and rebranded as TheraGun. This is of course how these devices started, and I’m not seeing the innovation out of this company as I am seeing from others. Let’s talk about some of the positives of the G2PRO: adjustable head angle (helpful but the ergonomics and size of the device really only support the normal 90 degree position), different device treatment heads (they seem well-made and snap into place with a ball/bearing), comes with two batteries and charge quickly, comes with a carrying case. The main downside of this device really is the level of sound it creates. If you are using this on a sideline or open area then maybe this won’t matter to you. But inside a gym or house? Forget about it. It is literally deafening and has given my athletes headaches based on the noise it creates alone. This eliminates any possible benefit this device can provide to you or your clients.
