I Love & Hate this clock! Be wary of the alarm shut off!
By Michababy1 on Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2017
This clock compared to my 20 year old Sony is like a command center for NASA. From sleek design and touch buttons, it's definitely an upgrade. Here is my list of likes and dislikes on this clock and they are compared to a 20 year old version so try not to laugh at me…. Likes: * The sunrise feature really does work! This is the best thing about this clock. It's a more natural awake and I am far less crabby these last two weeks of use * The lighting options are awesome * The alarm sounds are very soothing * The push buttons are very reactive * The time is easily set both forward and backward * The Snooze button is prominent above the others on top * On weekends, I'm able to shut off the LED into pure darkness and watch TV snuggled in my bed! Dislikes: * There are a lot of buttons on this clock and does take some getting used to in the beginning *No daylight savings shortcut setting * You cannot set the alarm by days * It is EXTREMELY easy to accidentally shut off this clock, the snooze button will snooze the alarm, but you need to ensure you don’t hit any of the other top buttons near it when you do it. (For instance, if you turn off the LED display before bed and then in the morning while in alarm mode, turn it back on to see what time it actually is, it will turn off the ALARM! I would love to dim the LED to blank everyday before bed, but I have to be mindful if I turn it back on in the morning. Overall, it's a an awesome clock and I find that it does naturally wake me more than the other one I have, I barely hit the snooze button now, but because of the alarm shut off with any button, I do set my other alarm as a back up for now until I break this one in more and get more disciplined. Let me know if I can answer any questions about this clock, happy to help!

Probably NOT the best choice for a gradual light alarm
By Cashew Son on Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2018
I am in the habit of carefully researching my purchases, so I rarely buy something that I quickly find completely un-useful. This one slipped under the radar. While this clock may work for many (or even most) people, there are a few things about the light alarm that should be known. First, the light alarm clicks on at about 50% luminosity 30 minutes before the wake-up time. I expected it to start from 0 and gradually work up, but it does not. You’d have to be a pretty heavy sleeper not to be snapped awake when this happens in a dark room. Second, the light actually goes OFF at the wake-up time! This is probably when the sound alarm kicks in – for people who use it. To me, this defeats the purpose of a light alarm. So, the upshot is that if you want to be woken gradually by light, rather than being jolted awake by sound or light, this is probably not the clock for you. You will either snap awake when the light comes on or sleep through it and not know any better when you start to rouse after the wake-up time (when it is dark again). I would also add that trying to manipulate the settings is frustrating. There is a short window to make a change, say to the current time or alarm time. It’s impossible to sneak a peek at the instructions (which literally require a magnifying glass), so you have to memorize the steps in advance to do them in the few seconds allowed. On the plus side, this is a nice looking device, with a relatively small foot print. The stand is sturdy with a good gripper pad on the bottom. It has a backup battery to retain settings if the power is lost. The mood lighting is fun (although not an alarm option). Most pleasing was that the LED clock display CAN be turned off (contradicting a previous review left here). Manufacturers are starting to realize that people fall asleep faster when they don’t have the time counting down in their face.
