Great product with nice layout
By AliseMat on Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2025
I bought this to replace our weather station that finally failed after years of use. I really like all the information this product displays and the vertical layout. It's easy to read, and I like the "picture" of the weather as well. There is an automatic mode based on time where the entire display dims, which is nice late at night.

Wants to fall over
By Doug L on Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2020
This item is to replace one I've had for over ten years from LL Bean (made by La Crosse) whose display is partially gone now and whose remote sensor no longer worked. It has been a great device. This weather station has a 3/4-inch wide pop-out lever that is to support it's leaning-back stand-up position. But it is offset from the center and the battery compartment is to the side of it making the whole thing weight-unbalanced and unstable. A dumb idea. My old one has a 2-inch wide lever that is centered and stable. One reason I chose this is that it includes Dew Point that I require since I use the remote in green-house like space that I don't want condensation in. Most stations used to always have this now not so much. I found some claiming it but you could only display Dew Point temporarily in the place of temperature by pushing a button. I started trying this out with the remote next to the station to see if the readings would be the same for inside and outside. They were different by 3-4 degrees or percent of humidity. A nice thing about this item is that you can adjust the readings which I did which would make them match at least one set of conditions. This is another reason I chose it. I had two other devices for temp/humidity I trusted to compare with before deciding what "calibration" adjustments to set. The display is nice if you can see it. My older non-color LCD station operated on battery for a couple of years at a time and you could see the display from a distance at any viewing angle. On this one, which has to plugged in to see, you can't see much of anything unless looking perpendicular to the front surface. Off-angle viewing is poor. And the tilt-back stand position makes it worse. I found I needed it to tilt forward to see it from say my couch ten feet away when it was sitting on a self so I built a tilt-adjustable stand that allows me to tilt the station about +/- 20 degrees from vertical. At least now I can see the display and it won't be falling over. The front surface is soft and easily scratched. I have a scratch already and I have no idea when/how it happened and I'm careful about touching the front. You could easily wipe this thing off and leave what will look like smears on the front so you will have to be real careful about cleaning it. My old one had no such problem and has no scratches. I can only recommend this for someone who can deal with its shortfalls and it is okay for me because there just isn't much else to choose from I could find that did what I needed without too many bad reviews.
